Essex Mafia Simulated Game Day

Mungler, Evil Elvis, Cash Money and myself headed up to deepest Oxfordshire this morning for a Game Flyer day run by the West London Shooting School.

What followed was a full on non stop day of clay bashing over five drives on the Great Tew estate just outside Banbury. Not sure what to expect we were pleasantly surprised with the variety offered over the day and the organisation was spot on.

If anyone gets the chance to go on one of these I would seriously recommend it. It was a one off for me and I enjoyed every moment to the full.

Each drive had eight pegs with two guns on each, one shot while the other loaded swapping half way through.

You'll have to forgive the lack of action shots - believe me we didn't have time to take them (except a few during the flush). Almost 1500 cartridges used between the four of us over the five drives. No pics of the first drive as torrential rain prevented me getting the camera out!

Top day, top company, top shooting :good:

Following the previous days sunshine Jackets and waterproofs were now the order of the day

Top day and many thanks to Bagsy for the invite - another example of sharing the forum love.

Everyone shot exceptionally well and the best bit was poaching other pegs clays was positively encouraged.

Shame Elvis brought his stinky backside along. He quacked all the way there, quacked and belched whilst we were there and then double quacked on the way home blaming broccoli at lunch although the aroma indicated Scotch eggs we had at elevensies.

Just tried cleaning the barrels of my gun - messy stuff those fibre wads. Gave up after 40 mins and will have another go tomorrow once I have bought a new bronze brush and more jags.

Just spent the best part of two hours on mine - nightmare!

Nice piccies there Bagsy and gold star for remembering to bring a camera.

Mental note to self, must bring camera to more days out.

Stick it in your bag for Saturday.

Re: messed up barrels, I reckon its brass brush on rod and in the end of a cordless drill and then down the barrels time tomorrow.

Looks like a great day out however, there is no mention of trophies, high guns or winning statistics there chaps.

The Mafia obviously would have won the farting competition, but what about the shooting ?...:good:???

Bob,

The legal term begginning with F is "FLEECING" as in what you do to your clients wallets.

Foing was a genuine spelling mistake which everyone jumped on me for.

So I have decided this will be my last post on here. You are all just bullies and I am going to report you all to the moderators :good:

Is this going to be one of those prolonged farewells, when you return tomorrow and forgive everyone? Has Markio got to sing "So long, farewell, Auf weidersein etc" again?
