Danger Mouse
For Sale This is my .223, it is a stainless steel Howa 1500. The hogue stock is brand new as I have just bought another Howa (.308) and swapped the stocks, they are a very good stock. It comes with a sound moderator, Timney trigger, and scope and mounts. Not the scope on the photo's. This gun will have had less than 300 rounds through it and is just over 1 year old, bullet on bullet in the right hands. I will let you try before you buy. Must have spare slot on ticket bla bla bla... The only reason that it's for sale is that I use my .243 for just about everything now! This gun is collecting dust. The Sound Mod is a JLS Stalker, Changing scopes simply because I want this scope for another rifle. The scope that will come with it is an Option Zero 3-9x40 PA/IR with front paralax zoom from 10 yds to infinity. the illuminated reticule is very handy at night. Its currently on my .22lr.. Forgot to mention, the barrel is shortened to allow for easier shooting through the vehicle windows. As to goodies, I will throw in a box of Hornady ammo, (factory) some RBS .223 reloading dies and a gun slip. Asking £600.00 or VERY near offer. Cheers DM
Lloyd90
But is the Option Zero 3-9x40 PA/IR a proper rifle scope ? If its on a Rimfire then is it a airgun scope ? If so can the scope stay on zero ? Sorry just wondering because Airgun scopes shouldnt really be used on rifles

Danger Mouse
A friend of mine had one on his .222 and it was fine, never lost zero or anything like that. As far as I'm awaire it's for any type of rifle.
Graham M
Airgun scopes have their parallax set to 50yds which makes them unsuitable for fullbore rifles. It’s easy enough to adjust the object lens to alter the parallax though, and if it can take the shock of springer airgun then it will certainly be OK on a .223. G.M. Hunter
i am in the proceeds of getting a 22 rimmi so would my scopes of my fx2000 pcp be ok to fit to a rimmi if so save me a few quid Should be fine I am using an AGS SWAT scope which are often used on airguns, it is used without any issues at all out to 300+ meters on a centerfire rifle. The 'twang' spring powered airguns make is often worse for a scope then the recoil small centerfires produce. And will last a liftimes on a PCP or rimfire. If you worry about these things too much, chances are you spend more time cleaning your gun then shooting it too. Thats a nice rifle there, best of luck with the sale
Graham M
I’m actually looking for a Howa in .223, but already have the bases and rings (Warne steel bases and Maxima steel rings) and a nice scope. I also have the moderator so don’t need those. Don’t suppose you would consider selling the rifle separately would you. G.M.
