Zapp
IMHO this is what you will really need to start out: ShotgunGun Cabinet Ammo Shooting vest Shooting glasses Ear defenders Spend the money you would use on a cart bag and gloves on getting some tuition. Get a decent vest and you will be able to get 200 carts into the pockets anyway. ZB

Raj_UK
thanks for the advice everyone what would the best form of newbie instruction take ? I've been to a few shoots as a guest of a member and I've had some helpful advice from people do I just need to keep doing this ? or is there a more formal method of instruction ? anything near Reading would be handy, but of course I'm willing to travel further should I need to
Ice
Get a proper lesson of an instructor pal, you cant go wrong, gun mount is one of the most important things in shooting, i started off with the wrong mount and couldnt hit a barn door, three lessons later and now i can hit the door "from about 5 yards anyway" But seriously a few lessons is a must, as when you get quite good, you will be hooked Also get a gun slip

bazguevara
Remember that you have to get the cabinet before you'll get your SGC.

Might not be ideal to start with but you have to start somewhere, can be bought later) Shooting vest (not required unless you own an MGF or MX5) Shooting glasses (No argument, you can't shoot with **** in your eye) Shooting gloves (Do you wear driving gloves?) Ear defenders (Mandatory)

I couldn't find a list anywhere
Peter De La Mare
Put the vest back on your list. If you are a normal human being, then you'll need one.

Peter De La Mare
I use one of these in summer. http://www.gunwear.co.uk/item.php?itemname...&itemid=872 and similar to this in winter, though not as expensive. http://www.gunwear.co.uk/item.php?itemname...&itemid=870 Claybusters need to carry at least 25, but normally 50 cartridges around, and for that you need 4 very large pockets. They you need smaller pockets for your shades, phone, ear defenders etc. The vests range from around £30 to £200+. just make sure it has lots of huge pockets, small pockets and fits nicely, not too tight, and has the leather patch for the but of the gun on the correct side.
