Cranfield
My truck MOT is due on 18th August 2008 and I will be overseas then. How far in advance of the due date can you get it MOT'd, without "losing" the month ? I can't find anything on the DVLA site to help me. al4x
its a month in advance so you'll have an MOT that lasts 13 months

Hunter
its a month in advance so you'll have an MOT that lasts 13 months Probably missing the point here as usual for me.. But wouldnt that mean if you did your MOT a month early every year you would keep gaining a month eg 13months 14months 15months etc? Surely that extra month expires for the next renewal. Dunkield
No, it is only ever 13 months no more, and it has to overlap the old one.
al4x
yep you're missing it you'd still only be able to get it tested a month before the expiry date so would still be 13 months next time
