went to stay in scotland with vicky and her clan for a few days on wed, but only got back today. rented a log cabin in Blairgowrie, really nice place. went to arbroath to see where she grew up and i met up with her friends husband who is also a jock, but better still, he fishes. we wondered down to have a look at the boats in the harbour, and they are doing 6 hour trips for £20  . as we didnt bring any gear, (told not to), we asked the skipper, and he rents all the kit for £4. this was too good to be true. so we were booked on the boat at 8am on sunday morning.............

so................

here we go.

I was out from Arbroath yesterday too. Looks like you caught some bigger ones than we did by the look of the photos. We set off at 2pm and I thought it was pretty choppy by that time. Thankfully it doesn't bother me but a couple of the others had a bad time. £15 each between 10 of us but it was a private hire and the skipper doesn't hire out kit. I had no idea that the cost seems to be relatively cheap compared to down south. A guy I work with arranges it all, and the skipper is normally booked well ahead, but if anyone wants details PM me.

I just want to know how you managed to survive Blairgowrie without getting glassed - or do the Glaswegians not go there to pick berries any more?
