Looking for your first permission ?? Salisbury

Having read lots of posts where folks have tried to get permissions and failed I know from experience that a helping hand to get your foot in the door with local farmers is the trick. Trust is everything, getting good bags and respect for land and property must be demonstrated in all you do, and this is hard especially if you are an unknown quantity !

Im a local and respected shooter around Salisbury area and I want to give one person in the local area a chance to gain a 'first permission' though me, with a view that this will support other requests or applications.

As this offer is to enable you to demonstrate to others your commitment and ability to vermin control safely and with adherance to landowners wishes its not necessary you own a weapon but longer term you'll need to have your applications. Again I am willing to support and to endose in a professional capacity with letters of recommendation

There is no ideal candidate : I could say this and that requirement, but I would say I am a good judge of characture and given to say my mind.

and the offer is to some one out there without a permission and looking for a hand up not as an offer to extend permissions you already have

If you are interested please contact me using PM and I will respond.

Posts or replies I might not get round to reading so a PM please

well done mate :innocent:

I for one know how hard It Is to get somewhere to shoot.

I have called umpteen land owners only to be met with the same reply of (we have enough guns on here already)

Last week I said to a friend at footy If he knew anyone that shoots.

He said that one of his neighbours does a bit of shooting and has gun dogs and that he would ask If he`d take me out sometime.

Earlier today I got a call asking to come and meet said friend to discuss what kind of shooting I was after

It turns out the guy Is In his late 60`s and doesn`t get out a lot anymore as he has no transport.

I said I would drive him to his permissions In return for some shooting with him

After a blether at his home he turns around and say`s I`ll take you to meet the farmer just now If you like.

Drove to the farm and had a chat with the owner and he said come back tomorrow and he will sign a permission slip to allow me to shoot his land

So hopefully all goes well and I will finally have some ground.

So well done mate, If It wasn`t for decent guy`s like you and my mates neighbour, People like myself who are just starting out would be snookered.

Well done mate, it cheers me to see someone willing to give others a hand. I remember how difficult it was getting my first permission, and indeed trying to get others :innocent:

I wish whoever you choose the best of luck, and the same to yourself.

ATB.

ALL

So far I'm not suffering whip lash from the take-up more the pity

A couple of offers to team up with others to meet up who already have permissions which is always good.

Like anything .. word of mouth ... spread the word... the offer stands and ...

To make it sound even better all the rabbits Im shooting over now have never been lamped, and just sit still until shot oh and in open meadow land and a 'bag' is 10 - 15 per hour !!! ( not for too much longer at my rate ) great for Newbees as give a good chance of not scoring a duck
