dont know if this answers your question but i keep a freezer up in my spare bedroom and it only gets used for keeping dog and ferret food in when i shoot any crows magpies or woodies that have come in to close and are full of shot i put them in the freezer for the ferrets, not plucked or gutted, just put in a carrier bag when i get fresh rabbit for the dog or food for the ferrets i empty out the freezer and put the fresh stuff in the bottom then put the already frozen stuff back on top a bit of stock rotation if you like.if you havent got ferrets just ask on this site as im sure someone could use any surplus birds for animal food hth paul

Pretty much same here but I dont re-use them as decoys. I have a spare freezer in my basement which is full of rabbits and pigeon breasts.
