henry d
Both CZ(formerly BRNO) and Anschutz have a good following and are bomb proof. Glass.........pays your money takes your choice.
rimfire4969
I use a Ruger 10/22. The basic gun is workman like. Rough around the edges. I have upgraded mine with bits from here http://www.rimfiremagic.co.uk/10_22_buildlist.html all very easy to do. It shoots extremely well and nice tight groups, and is different to every other rifle i see.

magman
Go for a b/a and become a hunter or go for a semi and become an American Tin hat on running for cover
rimfire4969
Got my CZ 17 hmr bolt action love it , but there is still something about the Ruger semi auto that makes me want to go slightly american
gixer1
Buy a CZ bolt action (they are between 2-300 pounds) a hawke scope (about £80) and a SAK moderator (about £30) DO NOT BUY A RUGER 10/22!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I traded my CZ in for one and went back with it the very next week and will not part with my CZ again.........
Curly87
yep id say go for a CZ for your first gun! cheap and bomb proof cant go wrong plus you see some nutters on here selling complete set ups for £150........... so keep an eye out for some deals however the next rifle ill be getting is the anschutz carbine i fancy a change! Dickthomas
For out of the box accuracy you wont do much better for the price than CZ. Team it with a 3x9x50 and youll have endless hours of fun, bunnybashing.
