Bleeh
Well, to start off with, I hope your shooting more than 40ft away from the center of the road, furthermore, I hope you've either got an open ticket, or you've somehow got your house to have permission from the police... dazza
Are you going to be firing the rifle in a built up area?

drut
I think I would be using the clock/bait method or a trailcam to narrow time down, patterns are fairly regular normally.

Badgerpig
Hi not sure if I'll get shot down in flames for asking but..... Are urban foxes fair game like their country cousins? I totally understand why they need to be controlled in the country environment as they predate on stock, cause problems and need to be sorted but is this the case with an urban fox? would they not predate on vermin (rats, mice, rabbits etc) I live in a built up environment and will admit to being naive as far as charley is concerned Im not saying it is wrong, just asking for a wiser opinion? cheers
charliebrown
Think they mainly predate on my bins. The *******.
seb
Our urban fox comes round at about 3am especially on bin night. We have a little motion activated B&W camera watching the cars and he always sets it off and it gives the time.
Santlache
Bait with something smelly like fish, or failing that a tin of dog food or even a dead rabbit which has been split open and dragged around the garden to entice them in. The other option of course is to save your beauty sleep and get a cage with a pressure plate and bait it, then shoot it once caught. Cheers
bignoel
you wont be breaking any laws cage trapping them .you may well upset your nighbours who could be foxy friendly and you can dispatch them in trap with a high powerd air rifle my fao woords when refuseing me a 22+410 pistol for the job ? dog food works a treat or dead crow .
