Today the daughter went on her first, maybee last, hunt. The Banwen Miners Hunt were the guests of Lady Mary Lewis, at Straedy Castle.

I was hoping to get some good shots of the field leaving the Castle (some hope) my prowess with a camera leaves a lot to be desired. I did manage three pics that wern't too bad, the top picture is of the daughter waiting for the off on her pony. The second is of some of the field and the third is of the huntsmen and hounds gatherd before the off. I blame the fact that i had tears of pride in my eyes as they galloped from the castle to the first draw, for the fact that i fluffed the last set of pics :*) .

Millomite i take it that you dont have a horse? if you had to drive 4 miles to the stables every morning, then muck out. Turn the horses out then go and do a full days work. I think the Smell of the horses would be the last thing on your mind.:D:D

Haha no, but I just like the smell of the actual animal. Stables stink. We went to stables for a week with school once, mucking out every morning and it wasn't the most pleasing experience I've had :D

Took my eldest granddaughter to see the Worcestershire hunt two weeks ago. She really loved it and wanted to know if she would be able to go on one in the future. I had to explain that the wonderful people in the labour party had stopped it.

Spite and prejudice is all this bloody government seem to know about.
