Andy37
The autosafe flag I use in my Supernova pump action SG gets stuck in the action every time I try to remove it, the gate flips up and locks it in place. I've seen another type of autosafe which does not get stuck in the breech but I don't know what they are called. They have a long curved bit of plastic which goes into the chamber and stop the bolt from locking into the breech. Can anyone help? Andy W
This is the one I use on my Benelli M2, recommended by Neil Smith and works just fine, nice and simple. I got it from Midway UK, product number 535054 Boonie Packer chamber safety flag. Edited December 17, 2008 by Andy W
jimdfish
Knock the primer out of a cart, thread some ribbon through and tie a big knot in the end. stick it in your gun. Jim

BlaserF3
I have shot with a semi-auto most of the time for about 25 years and have never used a "flag" or anything else for that matter. Semi's can be seen to be safe most of the time just by having the bolt back, when O/U's are stood in a rack they cannot be seen to be safe till they are picked up, more than likely someone will have been muzzle swept as the owner opened the gun. I have been hit on the head twice by a broken gun carried over the shoulder but I've never been hit by a semi. Semi-auto's can be used in all clay shooting disciplines including the Olympic games. If you see game shooters in a line they might as well use a semi, because their guns are closed. I could go on and on but what's the point. If you want to have a lifetime of shooting with no pain or aching joints shoot a gas operated semi-auto
Ozzy Fudd
personally i wouldve said just leave the pump half pumped ie pull the slide back to eject the cartridge and leave it back, thats what i always do. with the semi i just keep the bolt locked open
