sambu13 Posted January 3, 2009 Report Share Posted January 3, 2009 my girlfriend has chickens and im pretty sure there are rats getting in and eating the feed!(holes under the run)!now ive left a cage trap baited with smelly cheese and corn. and a basic snappy rat trap but no luck so far!any advice before i get the air rifle out and prepare for a cold night!? sambu13 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Imperfection Posted January 3, 2009 Report Share Posted January 3, 2009 If they're feeding at night-try removing the feeders when they go to roost and stick it back out in the morning.Take the food source away and they should move on.If they're at it 24/7-then load up! I dont know what what your other half is feeding the chooks,but layers pellets is cleaner than mash and they're far less likely to fling it everywhere.
