Fuji Shooter
Purchased this to practice on a stock before I tackled my sons shotgun. Its a Spanish made Box Lock Non Ejector by Pioneer of Eibar with double triggers, barrels are 28" - LOP 14.5" I fitted a thicker pad as being a light gun it did bark a bit. Fixed chokes 1/2 and 3/4 I believe. When it arrived it was a bit of a wreck and one of the firing pins was not working. Stripped it down, fixed the firing pin, Did the stock with walnut stain and Tru Oil. Fitted a new pad as the old one was falling off and full of filler. Re blued the barrels. General cleanup and oil Shoots well now and would make a good rough gun or first shotgun. Anyway need space in the cabinet as you can't keep them all can you. The stock has been left glossy, but can easily be polished back to a satin finish if that's your barrow. Does not include the slip. F2F, cert holders only, Worcestershire, Glocestershire area. Price reduced £100 - really need the space!! This is how it came in Edited January 18, 2009 by Freakmode

arjimlad
Brilliant finish on the stock there, and I would guess the bluing job if done professionally would have cost at least 75% of what you are asking for the gun.

Fuji Shooter
Thanks for the comments guys. I am pleased with it for my fist go at a stock - I will now have a go on the lads U/O next and at least will be confident I won't mess it up. I did the blueing myself - Its not as good as a pro but it looks fine for the age of the gun. The local gunsmith would have charged me £85, and as its not total black it blends in well with the action. The stock was left in Birchwood Casey Tru Oil standard finish. As its now hard I do have the stock sheen and conditioner that gives it a "hand rubbed finish" as it says on the bottle. I like it as it is though. fallowbuck
Very good effort, looks really good.Don't think me a kill joy but I have used this oil on a number of stocks and the one down side is that it tends to mark very easily.Still good work! Fuji Shooter
Shouldn't mark if its put on properly - did you use the stock sheen and conditioner? It will mark if you put it on in thick layers.
