EvoCars
I think the user manual says 70mm or longer , mine would cycle 65s, pigeon specials or something sim, but it would sometimes play up on them, and if it ever did it would be on the first 2 or 3 shots, after it had "warmed" up it was ok on them, but i now stick to 70's or above and its perfect, most carts are 70's anyway so its ok
taz24
I wonder if anyone can help me, i`m looking at buying a hatsan escort 3" chamber but can`t find any info on whether you can use 65mm (2 1/2") cartridges in them would anyone know the answer. Cheers for any help. I have just had this conversation today with a guy at a clay ground. My Escort will cycle most carts but it does prefer the longer ones over the shorter ones. I have fired about a 1000 carts through mine since I got it and it cycles all types even the 21 gramm ones. But i find that if I have a stoppage it tends to be with the carts that are less than 70mm long. I can fire 67mm carts and I get 1 stoppage every 200 or so, which I do not mind, but with carts that are 70mm long I have only had 1 stoppage in about 500 or 600 carts fired. taz . Warlock
Thanks for the replies, i will go out and get myself an escort tomorrow and try some 65mm 28 gramme cartridges, i have a load of fibre ones that i use in my 682 and hoped i could use them in the escort too so i can avoid buying yet more carts. Lefty gunz
Ive had the same problems with 65mm cartidges, they jam up all the time in mine. I have found that 67MM or longer i dont get any trouble whatsoever. If you do get problems with 65mm cartridges i find that if i just put 1 in the chamber and 1 in the mag tube it will cycle the second one in no problem. Its when i have 2 in the mag that the jamming happens. They are cheap though so well worth the money imo.
Imperfection
Ive had the same problems with 65mm cartidges, they jam up all the time in mine. I have found that 67MM or longer i dont get any trouble whatsoever. I normally stick to 70mm carts in mine, but recently a gunshop assistant sold me a load of RC's 67mm 32gm 6's cheap cos he reconed they will cycle perfectly and they do! Warlock
I bought my escort and i must admit only used 28g 70mm cartridges at the weekend and it is lovely, i left my 682e in it`s slip all day and stuck with the Escort. I have some Eley 67.5mm 28g eley cartridges so i will try them this weekend, if they don`t cycle i suppose i will have to use my O/U. Before anyone asks why i bought an escort and not a webley or something the reason is my firearms cert comes through in a few weeks and i have a grant for a section 1 shotgun so while i paid my cash for my escort i also paid my cash for a brand new benelli and got myself a nice discount and a few hundred carts and a slip into the deal. steve_b_wales
I use 65mm cartridges in my Escort. Only had a few problems when new, but it seems to be okay now that it's bedded in. Watch my 8 shot FAC being fired (Sporting Videos, Hatsan Escort Rapid Firing) I used 65 mm cartridges when shooting. Steve
