Crow_Killer
The price on cartridges for clay shooting can vary due to how fast the cartridges are and how good the pattern of the cartridges are. I have bin using Rio star team 28g which i paid £170 per 1000 but now im using FOB viper and mondails 28g which are FOB Viper £132 per 1000 and FOB Mondail £150 per 1000

Fatcatsplat
Kent Velocity 28g 7.5 were £120 for 1,000 in Essex Gun, but they are atrociously punchy - Haven't come away from a clay ground with a cheek that sore since i started shooting!! Oh well, only 840 of them to go!!

vmobiler1
Coppin of Alford 01507 462357 Gamebore 24g steel £110 Any opinions on steel vs lead? 21g v 24g v 28g? Or am i right in saying if your on target your on target? Pretty much the same for chokes ... if your on target ... it WILL break???
Peter De La Mare
Gotta be slightly careful with steel. There are a few things to remember, like no more than half choke, ricochets of hard objects, and that anything over 40 yards it looses a lot of killing power, especially for edge on stuff. I now use 24gram steel 9s or 7.5s for Skeet. Firstly 'cos they're very cheap, it also does the job very well, just don't go blasting the trap houses! But yes, if you are pointing it in the right place, anything will do. Edited January 29, 2009 by Peter De La Mare
