I'll tell you what the police weren't interested at all in enforcing the ban, they were just there to try and keep the peace :lol: . It was great whenever they threw the dead fox in front of the anti's ;):D . I don't hunt but I feel really sorry for the anti's because them anti's are real ba#tards.

Fiona Foster said that it is legal to poison foxes is this true?

Anti's make my blood boil....

I liked it when the copper walked away from the anti when the anti was asking him to watch the hunt, hunt a fox

I also thought she was wrong and that it is illegal to poison foxes. It was helarious when he tried to get the cops attention. it was also good that the public got to see that the huntsman can hunt with two dogs and the fox still can be legally killed, this may show the public that this is a totally pointless ban.

did any one watch country file on that they said how pointless it was they said 91 foxes got killed on the day after the ban.

they aslo said the police are ranking this offence less serious than letting a fire-work off after 11pm.

So with the hunt "ban" in place, at least for the time being, will those who profess to have the welfare of animals high on their list of priorities now be diverting attentions to getting the barbaric methods used by some ethnic minorities in killing animals for food rightly banned ?.

Seems bloody hypocritical to me to allow these people to continue to torture animals to death on a large scale purely because of their dogmatic religious beliefs which defy general British animal protection law.

If they want to do that they can sod off back where they came from for my money !!! Every creature I kill is despatched humanely, ask any of the guys who have been out with me ferreting or shooting.

I'll get my coat on pull me tin hat well down over my ears

I agree with O.R. when I heard about Halal products and the methods of killing the animals I was disgusted, OK it's their culture or belief which I respect but I think this should be banned.

Can you imagine the kick up in the public if they tried to ban these methods, it doesn't matter about the honest country folk who are in the majority honest and very respectful to their quarry, but if they tried to ban something from an ethnic minority it would be the worst thing a government has done.

before someone starts I am not racist.

No it's not connected to tradition or religon but with the amount of ethnic minorities in the UK now it has to be respected or a lot of people would consider it as being racist.

Sorry to have to disagree mate but it is still a minority thankfully, it's bad enough seeing beasts killed in a normal slaughterhouse but these places must be absolutely beyond the pale !!!.

I don't mind killing, dressing out and eating anything but hate the thought of animals being tormented. Odd in a way I suppose but not if you think about it.

Can only just get my freezer door to close with all the game that's jammed into it, can't remember the last time I bought meat.

We allow far too much leeway for bad behaviour on various grounds in this country IMHO.

OR I'm not disagreeing with you I agree with you whole heartedly; for example in our new student union you aren't aloud to bring drink from the bar upstairs to the canteen to drink with your food incase it offends the minorities who disagree with drinking and we were told this by the student union president and I think this is a bloody disgrace.

The other thing that disgusted me was at Xmas when it wasn't right to celebrate Xmas incase it caused offense to the minorities who don't celebrate it.

:< Well all I can say Ollie, is if you can work and live under those conditions you are a far more tolerant man than me.

What else can you do ern but tolerate the cultures and because I will be working in the hospitality industry when I'm older I will have to tolerate it.

One thing that disappoints me about the english (me being Irish) is that they don't really celebrate their own patron saints day but they celebrate ST. Paddy's , it just doesn't seem right for a supposedly patriotic country.

Oh sh#t we have totally went of topic

Simple answer to this one.............

The Labour government have ****** off the countryside to such an extent over their term that whatever they did would not win the hearts of farmers etc.

Ban Hunting.............nothing lost in the countryside but a few more votes won in the towns and cities (and in the coutryside where the townies have moved out).

They will never ban anything such as halal meats as there are too many voters connected with it.

There are thousands and thousands of ethnics in London alone with the right to vote. Why detrement that.

I say burn down westminster and bring back thatcher - ok the poll tax was a bad idea but she didn't take any **** did she.

All this 'PC' ******** would go straight out of the window.

I'm sure the moderators will give us a kick as soon as they feel we've gone too far off topic but it's good to blow off a bit of steam once in a while :D

I think Thatchers biggest failure was in privatising the utilities, particularly as so much interest in things like our essential water services are owned by non UK companies. That can't be right !!.

As far as the poll tax was concerned it was the first time I was actually up on the deal!!, just knew it couldn't last. We are just about to get a big beating with the reassesment of propery values which is likely to shove the property up a band, I can't see any houses being worth less than when they were last reviewed. Add to that the massive increases in council tax over the last few years (way in excess of inflation rates) and Poll Tax starts to look a lot more appealing.

Getting back to the political correctness bit it can only be a matter of time before there is a serious backlash, I'm amazed it hasn't come yet. It's not going to be pretty when it does happen.

Bet old Enoch is having a good old grin right now :lol:;)
