MerseaDavid
Went out today on a couple of our cover crops. Set up on the 1st cover with the wind on my back, so I set up 2 pigeons magnets either side of the hide (1 only yards to my left and the other about 35 yards to my right) and around 8 decoys just in front of me. MerseaDavid
Just a couple of quick set up's (just playing) The Equipment. 2 pigeon magnets (1 home made) 15 - 20 shell decoys 4 hide poles 1 net cartridge bag and gun Edited February 10, 2009 by MerseaDavid
MerseaDavid
Before anyone asks, I only shot 2 pigeons to put on 1 of the magnets. I only wanted to show some of you how I set the patterns up with the magnets etc. I left the set up in place and left one of the workers on the field and he had a good bag of 43 pigeons and 8 crows shot in just under 2 hours. shot shot
very thorough. If I may ask, does the big white bucket not spook them?
MerseaDavid
very thorough. If I may ask, does the big white bucket not spook them? No it does not, it has been there since the cover crops were put in. I think the pigeons were coming in to feed on the grain in the bins.
