shawn9914
HI ALL OK WE ALL KNOW ITS COLD AND SNOWY BUT WHATCHING THE WEATHER FORCAST THIS WEEK WHICH DAY DO YOU THINK WOULD BE BEST FOR SHOOTING PIGEONS OVER OSR AND WHY CHEERS SHAWN
davhope
If the osr is covered in snow forget it, Look for a field of brussel sprouts or turnips or similar that has green leafy bits sticking out of the snow,if it is the only one around for miles even better, you can bet on it the pigeons will be flocking to it as it is the only available foodsource. Good Luck. Dave
shawn9914
thanks for that dave if the snow has been on the rape for 2 or 3 days then thaws so the birds can get at it is this a good day to go then over osr cheers shawn
davhope
Yeah, That works ok too, but not if there are hundreds of acres of rape around because they will just move on a couple of hundred meters, and you will be moving your gear all day. If it thaws and uncovers a large amount all at once, try setting up under a flightline if one is apparent.

kdubya
have just been out looking at my permissions (should have been at work) 5" snow on most, one area however has growth showing and yes its covered by"unfortunately" one huge flock of pigeon to many to estimate so regardles of further snow forecast I will be hoping they come in tommorrow might be the only area available so perhaps the mad 30mins then clear off may not happen? cheers Keith
