pavman
Myself and Highlander made the effort to drop the boat in the River and make the best of weather and tide for what will doubtless be our last trip this season, rewarded with a humble Teal each for our efforts but they are such a lovely sporting bird it’s a fitting end to another season Edited February 16, 2009 by pavman
MC
Nicely done Pavman and Highlander, I shot a Drake mallard last week which will probably be my last duck of this season. I might try and get out on friday but I doubt that will happen. This has been my best season ever. Merlin has become a cracking 'fowling dog and my flight ponds came good towards the end of the inland season. Cheers MC

Does the season start earlier in Herts then? surely it is 6 months 12 days. Not that I am counting at all
