FAC .177 or .22

I am thinking of adding a FAC air rifle to ticket and would like to pick your brains as to which calibre to choose.

I have a .22lr but want something with a little less power to reduce any ricochet damage done in and around buildings and also safer tree shots but has a little more range than my 12ftlb AAS410.

I have been told that using a 30ftlb .22 has the same flat trajectory as the .177 at 12ftlb!

Also been told that a FAC .177 just goes through all quarry and out the other side?

Your thoughts ?

i agree with the majority on this one .22 or .25 is the way to go in fac, i currently use a rapid mk-1 .22 @40fpe and

am changing calibre to .25, all this has occured since a cheap fac springer a .25 webley patriot came my way

and the impact and accuracy really impressed me , i am not giving up .22 as a air arms fac s400 extra .22 has just come my way

at a good price,
