garyb
Had another invite from Beardo last week to have a shine round his permission with the rifles... We came to the 1st field, got out of the truck and started giving a bit of calling... Nothing was showing - when suddenly just over a ridge i've caught the glow of Vulpes looking up at us a good 600 odd yards away. I begin watching him in the scope.. mooching about a hedgrow... I tried various calls, but to no effect - shorlty afterwards I've observed him vanish into a small copse. I was begining to think, thats lost when Nick asks if he should try his caller... I thought what harm can it do, so he starts on his FoxCallUk giving small almost rodent peeps.. ****** me... We've got him running at as from about 300 yards away! Still he comes, like a steamtrain - I've placed the scope between his shoulders and asked Nick to stop calling.... He's still coming in... So I give out a loud "ahhh hmmmmmm" and he stops. 55grn Hollowpoint later and he's straight down
