Si-Bore
I buy Gilsan Sports own brand which are great - very hard hitting. 32g of 6's sort out the pigeon and crows to 50m! To be honest of your using roughly the right shot size (5-7) and a fair load (28-32g) all you have to do is put the shot in the right place and a dead bird every time - if its not - you missed! Shabbyshot
Have to agree with Si-Bore. I use Lyalvale express special game 6 32gms which I seem to do quite well with. Got some 28gms Kent velocity and the first eight birds I hit dropped dead. On a subsequent shoot I hit nothing! This is due to my poor shooting and not the cart. I think If you are using the correct size ( 6 28 - 32gms) you should be ok. I guess a higher end cart may help with high birds.
MerseaDavid
I use Eley HP pigeon cartridges 6 shot 32 gram and they work well. I did use the lyalvale express special game no 6s 28gms for a little while but did not get on with them, I found that they did not kill the birds as clean as the HP pigeon cartridges. Whitebridges
At the moment 32g Fiocchi pigeon 6 in a fibre wad which i'm very pleased with. The other "pigeon" carts from Gamebore, Hull, Express, etc also do the job very well. IMHO the best in class is the Eley HB 6.5 32g. Money no object it's RC SIPE in a 6 (2.7mm) and Hull Sterling Game 32g 6. Nice hard hitting cartridge in a light game gun try Hull Imperial Game 28g in a 7 shot. Cheers.
