ste
There's a great debate over these two and I'm considering one as my first air rifle. I'd like your opinions for .22 bunny / pigeon hunting. Cheers, ste

njc110381
I wouldn't like to say. Both are very good rifles. I've never owned a TX200 so my judgement leans towards the HW, but it would be unfair to write off the TX for that reason as they are very good too. Munst
I would say HW97, I have shot both and even though the tx200 was a nice rifle, I have to say that I think the 97k is superior, more equivalent to the Prosport than the 200. Tyke
I've had both and I have just bought another TX for target shooting so that should say which I prefer thought they are both excellent rifles.

realtreedave
both excelent springers, but for me the air arms is the one i would buy on style points alone
TuftySnuffer
Both are Awesome machines. I've only ever shot the TX 200 Mk2. Both are very heavy, so in both cases get down the gym before taking it out on the farm! The HW97 came before the TX 200 methinks, so from the point of view of progression go for the TX200. I dunno about ruggedness though. Try someone else for this factor. And all this blatent blasphemy is coming from a man who has just bought a HW80..............................
