v-max
Hi my local RFD raved about them so i got a box of 50g for 22.250. When i got home i looked at them & the box said for 1.10 twist or faster & the best i got was an 1"1/2 group. I went back a week later & he asked how i got on & said that was better than him & friends could do & i told him about the 1.10 twist bit. To some it up they were **** IMHO. alexm
I was talking to someone who uses these in 62gr .243 on roe. Reckons they drop to the shot and no excessive damage. I must admit I was a little sceptical about the minimal damage part but still...
Mungler
I like the idea of a completely ricochet proof bullet. Might get more fun out of the .223 Anyone know of anywhere that stocks them in the South East / Essex area?
steve_b_wales
I use the 62gr in 243. Not shot any quarry yet, but hope to soon. Used in the USA for prarie dog/rock chuck, and for Coyote. My mate bulletboy shot a crow last Friday and, apart from a little blood under the wing, no other damage could be seen. There is also a 55gr bullet for 22.250. Dunkield
I have used them, what do you want to know? Are they accurate, and do they do what they say on the tin? i.e. explode on impact with just about anything? And what effect do they have on quarry? is it total destruction or could they be used on something you intended to eat as long as you placed the shot well away from the edible parts? The Burpster
Am I not correct in thinking that other makes produce fast or rapid frangible bullets too? I'm pretty sure without looking that Hornady do and Remington too - not sure about Nosler.
Dunkield
My boy is making some up for me to try, but as I only a 1-12 .223 it doesn't sound like they be 'all that' - but let's wait and see . .
njc110381
I've got half a box of 36grn to try in my .22H. They seem very long though so they may not be stable or even fit in the mag of the little Hornet. Maybe they will work well in Drovers AR? I'm going to pass a few on for him to try because I think the 35grn V-Max will be better suited to my use. If there are enough left I'm sure a few could find their way to you. macca
Tried them on game, if you hit bone , lots of surface damage, did not produce the one shot kills I prefer, not as accurate as a standard pill, now gone back to normal projectiles Cheers
