YorkshirePurdey
I am going out looking for a second hand sxs next week, with about £100 quid or so in my back pocket (being carefull not to loose it lol). Why a sxs you ask? I have shot with both o/u and sxs and just seem to shoot better with a sxs. It will be mostly used for the odd bit of game shooting. What would people on here recomend? Is there any bloopers I should stay well clear of? Is there any features or faults I should be looking out for. Let me now your opinions guys. Cheers

steveb
For that kind of budget you might be able to get a AYA yeoman, which would be my first choice, or have a look for a Lincoln, zabala and don't forget the baikel. I got a lincoln No3 SxS non-ejector for £100 and used it all season, things to look for are rust and pitting in the barrel, make sure the rib is solid take the barrel's of and susped them by the rear lug over your finger and flick the barrels with your other hand, you should get a nice clear ting if it sounds dull or flat walk away. take some snap caps and try it out. Like you i shoot alot better with SxS than OU and they are a lot lighter to carry

Mungler
My initial thought was that you might be the incarnation of the infamous Yorkshire Lad who also went by the handle of Purdey If so, there should be some good sport in the horizon :-)

fieldwanderer
I've got an AYA model 3 (I think) that may be of interest to you, may be a little out of your price range though. In reasonable nic.

anser2
I got a second hand AYA no 3 for £100 from my local gun shop a few years ago. Best investment I ever made. Also got a AYA 3 inch no 3 magum for £125. Again a great gun. There seems little market for second hand s\s and you can pick up some real bargins.
