Shoot on my land - invitation

I have a few acres of land, including about five acres of woodland in Kent and another five acres of woods in Wales which you're welcome to use.

I would be more than happy to grant full written permission to anybody willing to make small donation toward the conservation, maintainance and improvement of the land -- £20 or whatever you can afford.

If you're interested just click here to send me an email.

Tim.

I recieved an email from this guy asking me if I was interested but I advised him to post it up on pigeonwatch. I'd be fairly sure he's genuine, he said he had a small area, I didn't realise it was only 5 acres though- but could well be of interest to an airgunner?

Good luck tim.

   :D  Looks Like a YP Easter Scam

But ive been wrong before    :o  ;)  ;)  ;)

I offer my woods on other shooting forums and somebody on one of them recently suggested that I post my offer here too so I'm giving it a try.

Not sure what Easter has to do with it. I hope you're not suggesting that my offer is a “scam”?? ;)

YP = yorkshire pudding, a member with a good sence of humor, the sort of humor that will get peoples hopes up on a bit of "free shooting" and then come clean and say "ONLY ME!!" ;)

Tim, send a PM to "Digger" who does a bit of shooting in kent, he is a keep air rifle and shot gun shooter. A good all round safe shooter.

All the best

Adam

If this is the same offer as was posted on Airgunbbs then it is suspiciously like a commercial offer and as such is against board regs.

One of the chaps over there said he got an email asking for £25 a day to shoot all 5 acres per day !

I'll be quite honest lads i've had a couple of emails off this Tim guy and i certainly would'nt send any money off by email . post etc. and if we meet on the day how do i know i'm not going to get robbed by a rake of them. I'm not slagging anybody off. Have been on this forum now for a few weeks and got to know some nice lads and none of them have come up with anything scam like or mentioning money for anything all that i'm trying to say is its hard to just trust anybody who comes along like this, especially if your quite inexperienced like me. Who knows if somebody's trying to take the michael

Apologies to the Mods for posting a link to another board (Delete this post if you like) but I think it is necessary so everyone can be aware of facts:

http://www.airgunbbs.com/forums/showthread...17&page=1&pp=15

Duff link

That's because it has now been deleted.

Was getting heated i think and it does seem the "whatever you can afford donation" was indeed £25 a day.

not up front from the off!

He has posted on a few different boards, no bother of an introduction, just trying to flog the use of his land, which lets face it is essentially a big garden.

Let me just clarify what's going on here, because I don't really appreciate my integrity being called into question.

In fact this is the first forum I posted my offer on. I initially contacted the owner of the website and gave him my details for anybody here who might be looking for some land to shoot on in Kent or Wales, and it was actually him who asked me to post my offer on this forum, so I did. Users of this forum sent me links to a couple of other forums and suggested I post there too, so I did.

I know from my own experience it's not always easy finding new land to shoot on. I've resorted to buying my own.

I am not charging any fees but I do have interest and loans to pay on the property along with land management responsibilities, hence any donations are welcome.

I've had a good response so far and my offer is always open.

look mate i havent said you have all that i ment ioned was all the different scenarios to do with paying somebody money who you no nothing about like the other guys said and i will say again you havent exactly made it sound trustworthy

thanks paddy

I hear you, but if it doesn't sound as good as you think it should that's probably because (1) I'm not writing a marketing brochure and (2) what I'm offering is nothing particularly special.

If you have any questions or concerns please contact me directly, I am not looking for a public debate, thank you.

I've had a good response to my post so far and my offer is always open.

look tim i am not being funny about this . its fair play if your trying to make some money, i cant fault you for that all i am trying to say, is its hard to trust anybody now with all the scams and everything else that goes on with people these days and i think personally a forum like this is for like minded people like myself who perhaps havent got a lot who will help each other out without asking for money.Personally thats what i am like.

cheers paddy

>Let me just clarify what's going on here

Not once have you clarified that you didnt ask for £25 for a days shooting, not once!!

Now for about the tenth time, how about confirming that you didnt send the email asking for £25 a day?

Also whilst on the subject, if you are renting shooting rights to pay your bills, then I would suggest that that may be classed as commercial.

If you are asking for donations or just a drink for the opportunity then it might not be but so far you have not denied sending the email asking for £25 a day.
