Hi all,

I'm looking at getting a secondhand 12 bore O/U in the region of £750-1200 and thought i would ask what different makes/ models people prefer. I will be Pigeon shooting most of the year & also have Game days booked, One of them is a fish & flight for ducks. Any info would be much appreciated and interesting to know what people are using.

Many thanks Tristram

For that money i would definitaly go for a Winchester Select game gun, very well built, nice looking, 3" chrome line barrels and steel shot proofed

Got a mate who is selling a Beretta Silver Pigeon (some deluxe version).

28" barrels and full set of multichokes.

Think he wants £750.

Pick a few different makes up - Brownings and Mirokus I find heavy and clunky. Winchesters never grabbed me at all.

EDIT:

If you are interested I'll get him to email you some piccies - you're only down the road / A12

Winchester are now owned by browning, the new range is definatly worth a look. They are built by FN herstal in belgium and they know their stuff when it comes to making decent barrels, actions etc

As said though try a few

Browning do not own Winchester, but produce them under licence.
