Guinea Fowl
I was using the internet last night when a little white box popped up saying "virus detected". I run a scan with Norton (which havened been updated for 3 years ) and said nothing is wrong, Right i thought and left it. Today something fishy is been going on. My PC just starts to play really saucy ads and ads asking for money for the hungry in Africa, Like i give a ****! followed by songs from some gay boy bands, then it stops for 5 minutes and start all again. I don`t even have that gay music on my PC so it can`t be from my PC. Can anyone please help me? before i have to explain to the wife why the PC went out the window! Chard
Something that plays gay boy band music on you PC, well it is in my case!! I don't think you'll get rid of this with any of these AVG/Norton things. I had this on my PC, playing **** through the speakers, even when my internet browser wasn't open , pop-up ads and the whole thing went slow. Because my PC is part of my business, I pay for go-faster virus protection with Kaspersky and that's what let it in, and then it couldn't locate and destroy it In the end I got rid of it with Malwarebytes Anti-Malware programme (free). Here Strictly speaking, I'm not sure whether it is a virus, or just malware, but it was very nasty and hard to destroy. It also imports more viruses and malware into your PC as it operates, connecting to all sorts of dodgy sites. Good luck with it matey, it's a very resilient lttle **** Edited July 22, 2009 by Chard

Google report detected this, Your computer experienced a problem that was caused by UACD.sys. This product might be malware. If the AV don`t get rid of it ill follow the google steps to do it manually. Ill report back.

Thanks for recommending that guys. I don`t think i had the same thing as you Chard but thanks for the advice. My PC is a lot faster and no more gay music, well for now. It will teach me not to watch free movies on the internet again!!!!!! Edited July 22, 2009 by Guinea Fowl

al4x
you see watching porn won't just make you go blind it also slows your computer down just run AVG and malware and you should get rid of it. AVG has been great for the last 5 years I've used it with no problems.
Windy
Try the SimplySuperSoftware 'Trojan Remover'......there is a free trial. Bloody excellent bit of software. I had a really nasty and well documented trojan(XP Security Centre), Spybot couldnt handle it. Down loaded the Trojan Remover trial and it was sorted. I liked it so much I bought the full product. This is regularly updated and does a fast scan at boot up. Doesnt effect my PC's running, in fact even have it running on my Sammy netbook no probs. Also I use Avast, similar to AVG and also very good (and free).
vole
Look at Control Panel then Add/Remove programs and see if there is a dodgy installation that is giving all the greif. I found one called Shopathome or something which plagued me with popups.
Guinea Fowl
you see watching porn won't just make you go blind it also slows your computer down just run AVG and malware and you should get rid of it. AVG has been great for the last 5 years I've used it with no problems. I was waiting for that! unlike you al4x my wife don`t deny me a good time, so need to watch porn i make my own! I did run avg twice and it took care of them other things but not this one, it don`t even find this thing even when it`s playing "Heal the ***** world" while it`s scanning. Ill try later to get rid of this monster, i have more urgent problems then that at hand right now, but that`s for a new topic
