activeviii
I use 36g of 5 for high pheasant and late seesion when the birds fly high and think their safe. Love them. same as 30g of 6 clear pigeons on my shoulder but harder on my wallet.
Hamster
n my humble opinion World Cup are nearly as bad, that being said there are some who don't feel recoil so to them it obviously isn't an issue. I'm sure most of the manufacturers tweak their top end (most expensive) cartridges to be harder on the shoulder to make the punter think he or she is getting their moneys worth. Mr Potter (Apprentice Troublemaker) I have long suspected this too , Italians are the worst offenders, some of these are just hideous yet don't make any appreciable difference to the breaks  . Don't get me wrong I like my shells fast but like you say some seem to fine tune them for kick. White Golds are also noticeably punchier than Eley Superbs yet no more useful! I bought a 1000 Black Golds when they were first launched on the back of being fast yet soft would you believe , and quite honestly couldn't wait to get through them, I ended up generously giving boxes away to mates to try. Flat-Cap
They're horrible for clays. The 28 gram fibre ones I tried had a lot of recoil, and seem expensive too. But they look cool, so that's something. George Digweed is sponsored by Gamebore, and shoots with White Gold when I'm guessing he could pick whatever he wanted. aister
i use black gold 32g 4's for night flighting ducks and love them, used at the time of night when the only time you see ducks is when they are in range you get nice clean kills without peppering them. :good: IMO. wildfowler.250
Are the black golds better than the clear pigeon for game shooting? Or is there actually nothing in it? In tempted to order in gamebore or RC sipes
archi
Go for Sipes I found they dont kick as much as the black golds Also I found the black golds dont always eject as did a couple of other people I know. Regards archi
M.I.A
For game shooting clear pigeons will do the same as the equal black gold carts, save yourself a few bob and grab some clear pigeon. Brilliant cart for the money
