pavman
Loaded the "cottontail distress young" from http://www.western-rivers.com/downloads.html just right click save on hard drive, loaded to my I phone and it plays a treat to an external speaker that came with another caller I have had a while, when I have a driver we play it from the cd player and switch between that and the wam call which works well, but for thoese of you that lamp alone often like me its handy to be able to let it play while you look round as it seems to pull more out the woods and cops than anything else I have tried

Westcountryman
I put the Cotton tail one on my N95 and tested it on my JRT. He went mental and searched the garden until he found it. Work a try on foxes next.
casts_by_fly
dave, you're genius. I have a speaker system set up, but all of the calls are on casette and I have a walkman to go with it. Never even thought of using the MP3 player and downloading all of the calls. Last time I was using the device I didn't have an MP3 player and all of the downloads were for device specific things. "Honey, where's your iTouch? I need to go shooting...." Thanks Rick
wildfowler.250
If you don't mind me asking, what external speaker do you use? Could you pick one up seperately from a caller ?
Beardo
i use a nokia speaker that came with my phone, but something like these will do... http://www.ebuyer.com/product/167055 or here's a complete mp3 & speaker call setup http://www.ebuyer.com/bundle/3WQX3AD39 Edited August 25, 2009 by nickbeardo
AndyCM
Good stuff Pav, I just got myself a Motorola T505 for £40 odd - now this item is a car visor handsfree jobbie......BUT with the facility to pipe from the phone (by bluetooth) to the T505 and then from the T505 to the car audio speaker through some FM wavelength - sounded pretty complex to me before I bought it but if just the first bit worked that would be ok by me. Anyway, initial testing has proved good - I can play ipod (iphone) tracks through the car audio with no wires. Just by tuning the radio to a FM frequency that the T505 specifies - 1st three tests have picked 88..... so it seems to pick the first free FM frequency. The plan is to get on the roof with the iphone (as a remote) + rifle and control the audio from there via bluetooth - if that works I'll be really pleased and hopefully bag a fox or two. Cheers AndyCM

Dunkield
A good guide to fox callers is if it sends your dog nuts
garyb
like most things some nights they wont switch onto it and others you cant go wrong Yup - much like last night, Saw one lying down on the stubble around 150 yards away... no amount of hand calling could get him to budge. Luckily I had decided to take my caller with me this time (foxcalluk) - No more than 2 blasts from that, before I had to give him a loud "Baaaaaaaaa" to stop
