chrispti
Finished work early today, although it was lashing it down, I decided to try my luck at the Woody's again up the same permission and in the same spot I went to the other day, where nothing decoyed at all! As it was raining I just used 10 full bodied flocked decoys. I did use the rotary for a while in various positions around the pattern but the birds wouldn't come near it, so I packed it away, just leaving the 10 flocked decoys out. Straight away the birds started to show an interest and slow down over the decoys to have a good look. After bagging a couple I set out a flapper at the front of the pattern and a bouncer at the rear between me and the decoys. Almost immediately the birds started to commit The result, 45 in the bag

Cosd
Great shooting mate. I really do like the sound of a flapper! Many people post good results with these. I have a bouncer and rotary but sometimes the rotary is just too heavy to lug across fields. My next investment me thinks!

I find the flapper gives the birds that extra bit of confidence to come in and land (or try ) Cheers all
