docholiday
Ok sitting here in my clinic thinking about shooting and a new permission I have been lucky enough to get for Rabbit and Fox, mainly Flat about 2000 acres, has roads nearby but can get some elevation by shooting off roof of land Rover, have a .17 hmr a .22lr and 6.5 x 55 being a bit of sucor for guns was thinking about getting a fox calibre to stick in the Landy as we are seeing a few to far out to take on with a clear heart for def kills with the .17 I just love planning my next gun, look forward to your ideas, Doc

al4x
if you've a 6.5 then its going to be a .22cf so really either .223 or 22-250 either will do the job well

Beardo
i'm currently paying £8 a box of 20 Samson .223 hollowpoints which shoot brilliantly from my Titan. you can also see the rounds hit home, as muzzle jump and kick is negligible with a .223 wearing a mod. docholiday
seems like all the excuse I need to go and get one, use sako 85 for the 6.5x55 suggestions for the 22 cf?? and what top end spec. moderator ? Doc Edited September 17, 2009 by docholiday
Baldrick
Buy another Sako 85. But get a .222 or a .223 - there's too much noise and drama with a .22-250. Top-spec moderator = ASE Utra CQB. Nothing beats it for .22CF use.
