Glensman
I haven't cut mine, but I know you can buy them in the States in 12.5 " and they're very popular...

starlight32
Fister cheers anyone else cut their barrel down someone else must have. Optimum length on a standard factory barrel is 16" according my gunsmith and that is length I had mine cut down too... I was peeved off with that silly endsight right up against the moderator. I had part of the sight removed but still was'nt happy so had it chopped, cost 100 quid with the reproofing. I could have bought a standard 16" heavy quite cheaply for it but did'nt bother. When you start looking at the heavy stainless target barrels at some of the custom shops you are looking £250 upwards.
Glensman
The original Ruger heavy barrel is only $80 in the states, I think it's 16 "...
LostWomble
I got a hammer forged factory barrel cut down to 12.5" by North West Custom Parts but they also do standard factory cut downs for about £80ish. They don't always have them is stock though, I think they play with ones they end up with after rebuilding from a standard 10/22.
