Thank you. Nice gun but $13500 too much!

I don't mean to be difficult and keep asking but is there any chance you could provide a link or details of what was sold? The DGS website/forum is huge and I don't want to wade through the whole thing. Agreed they are worth more there but not generally 7500% more unless remarkable. E.g. a W&S 702 BLE with sensible length barrels might make £700 at auction here. This one is up at £1300 so a 100% uplift (and probably what it would be on a dealer's shelf here.) https://www.gunsinternational.com/guns-for-sale-online/shotguns/webley-amp-scott-shotguns/webley-scott-702-sxs-shotgun-12ga.cfm?gun_id=102808413 GBS

Was it a nice gun and was there anything special about it to make it worth $15k?

Demand for bitches massively outweighing that for dog puppies.

Thank you for all the responses, it is very interesting to hear both sides of the argument. GBS -
My sprocker recently had a small litter of puppies and we have been gently advertising them for sale. The demand for bitch puppies seems to be 6 times that of dog pups. Is this typical of the market? Has this always been the way or is the high price of pups now encouraging people to breed? Or do dog pups need to be advertised at a significantly lower price? I'm intrigued and all input appreciated. GBS

Sprocker dam X Cocker sire. Both parents work but are also family pets and very steady and well natured. Will be chipped, docked and jabbed and ready to go in 10 days. £850ovno. Scottish borders, TD3. He’s becoming a fun and inquisitive wee chap! Dam. Sire.

Yes, this is where I am leaning. I would quite like to try and sell it all as a job lot. I appreciate that this may sell for less that individual lots but I don't really want to make up 10 packages and go to the PO 10 times. Or to string the process out and be left with just a few bits. I've had a look but its tricky to work out what things actually sell for vs their advertised price and if they do ever sell. I'll put up an ebay add and see what happens. Yes, agree, it is a global marketplace. Thanks, GBS

Thank you all. I remain sceptical of auction houses as I don't feel they are really interested in selling for the highest price and would rather just ensure it sells and they get their commission. I also suspect that eBay may actually give greater coverage/exposure to collectors. I'll make up the sets and see if they are complete or if anything has gone AWOL since 1990! Thank you, GBS

Firstly, this is not a valuation or sales thread. Please do not suggest a value or this thread is likely to be deleted, again! I am looking for suggestions of any places to sell my vintage 1980s Lego train set, or is eBay the best bet? I suspect I am going to have to spend a few evenings making up the individual sets to see if they are complete. This is no hardship! All advice appreciated. Thanks, GBS

The two boys are on the left. It’s a small litter so all are doing well on the food front!
