  1. Well! Now over a year into using the franchi affinity 12 gauge semi auto and I can report the gun is still working as good as the day I bought it, it has been faultless. I dread to think how many rounds this gun has shot. In the past 12 months I have shot everything from rabbits to geese and it has NEVER let me down. For the £560 I payed for it I am still very happy. So over a year old would I reccomend it?? OH HELL YEAH !!!!
  2. Yes it has a rotating bolt. Steel proofed and come with 3 benelli chokes 1/4 1/2 and full. But i bought a carlson's extended chokes to use instead. Had a day on the pigeons yesterday and shot the best part of 200 carts through the gun and no problems what so ever. Fell in love with this little gun already !!
  3. Hi, ive had the franchi affinity 12g 28" barrel now for three months now. Not once has it let me down, only ever shot 27g cartridges (hull superfast) and game loads but even straight out the box never jammed once. I got so fed up cleaning my gas auto that i took the plunge and bought this inertia driven shotgun. As understand they are made by benelli in the benelli factory and comes with a 7YR warranty, so i thought it was worth a gamble at this price of £560. The gun itself is super light and very fast to mount without any effort and theres only about 3 major components to strip down. Recoil spring under forend so easy to maintain and inspect. From what ive shot before if you have ever shot a benelli M2 it feels very simular indeed. So for a cheap inertia driven semi-auto shotgun capable of anything from clays to rough shooting with a 7yr warranty i don't think you can go far wrong. Well i'm very happy with mine and i would reccomend this gun.
  4. Good luck on your quest buddy.
  5. Sorry everyone ! Lappy gone on a mental ! Now gone out the window !!
  6. I sing in chorus with many others here ! I bought a AA s410 .22 two years ago for my first pcp and i still have it i would never sell it I find it ultra reliable and amazingly accurate. Iwas told by the gun dealer it makes even the not so good shooters a good shot ! LOL ( but he was right) With a proven track record aswell i dont think you would go far wrong with a S410. If i had to replace mine i would only replace mine with a new s410.....

  8. Great pics buddy.. Firstly i was very unsure of parting with my money for a cheap semi as i had heard alot of things about them ( not all good ) Anyway i gave into the urge to atleast try one! So i bought a 3" magnum 28" barrel with extended chokes model in wood. OH MY GOD !!! from the second i pulled the trigger for the first time i fell in love with this gun, it fitted correct straight out the box comes up and swings just fine. Have shot best part of 500 plus carts though it not one jam to date, just keep them clean and well oiled is the key. So for all those people who are unsure of a cheap semi-auto gun dont be scared of this one. It aint pretty but it certainly does the job and does the job well !!!
  9. Around here in the northants area didnt seem to be a problem for the rfd laying there hands on a 28" barrel ( dont know price though) but a 26" barrel seems to be a real problem for some reason. Perhaps cos we all have short arms down here or something !!!
  10. Well i am well up for doing something to get a shorter barrel, as long as the 26" barrel comes with proof certificate and is in as good as condition as my 28". What are the legalarities of swapping barrels do we have to infom the Firearms Licensing Unit ??
  11. Sounds like it`s common problem then ? I did look into getting the barrel shortened and that was a no no ,as it was was going to cost nearly as much as buying a new sxp ! Its a real shame as i do love the gun but just wish i was alittle more patient in waiting for a 26" barrel to come into the shop instead of just grabbing the first one they had !
  12. Hi, i have the same sort of problem, only i have a 3month old winchester sxp 28" multi choke shotgun and i so wish i bought it on 26".!!! Have looked around but but most of the rfd are saying to get a 26" barrel at the mo is almost impossible. I have shot with my friends 26" and it just feels so right for me. So for now it looks like i am stuck with my 28" !! unless someone here has any ideas??
