i always used spade end hooks and carried 10/12 different hook length materials , i used to be able to tie down to a size 24 hook and 12oz nylon even in the dark,the trick is practice,practice,practice. when testing hook lengths i always found that nylon tied to eyed hooks broke below the stated breaking strain but nylon tied to spade end hooks would break on or slightly above the stated breaking strain,that having been said in the larger sizes ,8 and above i would switch to eyed hooks. i have a friend who is getting on a bit with poor eye sight but he still ties his spades on the riverbank with no hook tyer

you're correct martin i am sounding like a defeatist but i will definitely vote if only to give me the right to complain about them later but this time i just don't know who to vote for, i've always been a labour voter even if it was only because they were less bad than the others but this time around i dislike them all equally . :o . i don't know why but i used to carefully consider each parties policies and weigh up the pros and cons before i made a desicion but as im getting a bit older i make the choice on how much i like and trust the said mp , i don't know if i'm just getting lazy in my old age (not old only 36) or if i'm just getting better at reading people , reading between the lines and picking the bones out of what they are really saying. the only thing i can say with any certainty is that whoever gets in will lie to me , steal from me , and do anything else to me that they feel may get them a few extra votes and expect me to take it with a smile on my face. edited to add ,i used to think tony b liar was a good honest man that had the best interests of his fellow countrymen at heart :< DO I NEED A SMACK IN THE GOB OR WHAT

now i know this is going to make me sound a dumb *** but i don't know who to vote for as i despise them all equally,it doesn't make any difference who is the next prime minister or from whichever political party he comes,they will all shaft me in unimagineable ways that make me want to cry in frustration and i will be unable to do anything about it,each and everyone of them will lie to me do their utmost to steal every penny i ever earn and infringe my civil liberties by banning partially or fully any pastime that i enjoy be that shooting/fishing/smoking/drinking or even driving my own car,i want to start a revolution but i'll probably just get up and go to work tomorrow the same as i do every monday am i starting to sound a little bitter?

hi guys ,ive got a 6oz hip flask if anybody wants it ,its not new and it has a strong smell of overproof rum(can't think why ) i've had a posh one with pheasents on for a couple of years and i found this one at the back of the cupboard,give me a shout if its any use to you . ps over 18s only and it must be kept away from naked flames ,2 quid p+p pps if you're brave enough i might even put a bit of overproof rum in it for you :o

hi guys, i don't know if this is any use for anyone but i've aquired one of those things that the doctor uses to check your blood pressure.one of the things you wrap around your arm and pump until it feels like something will explode :o .its free but id like a couple of quid p+p. ps. no i didn't burgle the doctors , its left over from my days as a gaenacologist(sp) on the GB sinchronized swimming team

hi wigeon, welcome to the site mate,you'll learn loads and if your as lucky as me you'll get to know a few of the guys really well and make yourself a few new friends just watch out for that dodgy mod ernyha,he's a right shady character he is

over the years rover have built some fine vehicles but at the same time they have designed and built some of the biggest white elephants that have graced tarmac and i dont think the gov't should pour any more tax payers money into the black hole,however i still think that it is a very sad day.(i used to have dealings with longbridge via work and i could tell you stories that would make your hair curl). as for my opinions on robert mugabe, well im with cranfield and think he should be put down like the dog that he is.
