  1. bought this one from Curry's a few weeks back and has built in speakers, am very pleased with it. http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/aoc-e2450swda-full-hd-23-6-led-monitor-14866074-pdt.html
  2. havent tried the owl yet, but had a fox with a crow flapper near its mouth and had several crows land in the trees and squawk like hell, but only a few were brave enougth to come close enough for me to get a shot at them.
  3. even at the game fair the crow decoys were very expensive, but i thought these were very cheap, dont know how much the delivery charge is tho, http://www.djdecoys.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=7&products_id=14&zenid=64d37e27f1fae6c8fe15a341b6ad7217
  4. just been on a bird watchers forum, 278 jays counted coming in off the sea in overstrand in north Norfolk in one day!!!!!!! all down to the bad acorn harvest in Europe apparently.
  5. have shot 3 jays in the last two trips out pigeon shooting, counted 17 jays fly across the pig farm on saturday im right on the east coast in Suffolk, so pehaps they are coming over the north sea in bigger numbers this year.
  6. im now about to renew my SGC and have been told that you fill the renewal form in and have to wait from the FAO to get in contact with you before sending the form in to the police, any one else had to do this on renewal recently ? as you just used to fill the form in and send it away, cheers.

    USA visa

dont know if any one can tell me how hard it is to get a visa to the USA, i had a minor conviction over 30years ago and am looking to go to the states, and have been told as i have a conviction i have to apply for a visa, and cant go under the 'visa waiver' programme, just didn't know if its worth not declaring the conviction or go to the trouble of getting a visa, any advice would be appreciated, cheers.
  9. all the best for your first trip Noel , allways nice when the crows havent had a constant bombardment each weekend, mind you dont they wise up fast
  10. Ive used quite a few calls, even ones from the USA, but just find the best one for me is the Primos, but what ever you use if it pulls the crows in well that's the main thing i have been using the yellow primos and have now found out they do a new one, i think its a 'primos power call' any one bought one yet and if so any luck with the crows with them, Pykie are most of your kills carrion crows or rooks, as i seem to shoot loads of jackdaws at this time of the year and mostly rooks on laid wheat or barley later in the year, and have a few carrion crows now and then, would love to shoot hooded crows but there just arnt any round my way
  11. have to agree with steve b, i have one of the Sam Neyt callers but i cant seem to get on with it, and now i allways use the primos caller as its deadly on jackdaws, and i do get crows come in to the primos one as well, out shooting on monday had 53 jackdaws along with crows nearly all came in to the primos caller over some maize cover crop
  12. Ive tried a fair few crow callers but the one that has proved itself the best in my opinion in getting the crows in especially jackdaws is the primos power caller
  13. bloody classic made me laugth, never happens with my dog
  14. well done on the blackies BB ,must be nice when you can have a permanent hide set up, saves keep hauling all the gear about, out of interest what are you finding coming in to the decoys, as im just getting carrion crows on the pig farms at the moment the rooks and jackdaws seem to have disappeared
  15. very good bag of blackies you lads got well done and the pattern looked very impressive, and dont them jackdaws make for some good shooting when they swoop in to the deeks in large numbers and they just love that magnet with a couple of there buddys on , hope you get back there soon and get plenty more Steve and Mark
  16. hello,im still interested in the gun, and should be heading to orford next weekend so if its still for sale wouldn't mind having a look, will give you a shout next Friday if that's OK, to arrange a meet, cheers.

  17. hello im interested in the gun, i live in beccles in Suffolk and am coming to Melton nr woodbridge this Sunday, are you any where near there cheers.

  18. have a good holiday Steve least the crows can sleep safe in there beds knowing your away
  19. couple of nice bags of woody's mate, well done i havent had a decent pigeon day for ages, hopefully when they start drilling things might change
  20. hope it comes good with the wildfowl soon, nice bag of woody so not all a lost cause
  21. good shooting Doc cant beat it when theres so many come in to the decoys your spoilt for choice, did you have a flapper/magnet on the go as well as decoys, cheers
  22. Doc, i have never used two magnets, but i allways have my decoys, magnet, and flapper about 25yards away from my hide, as the closer you can decoy them in the better, jackdaws seem just want to hover over the magnet and make easy targets
  23. hello Jon, i usally put 25 decoys out and have a primos caller to call them in, and i must say the caller brings a fair few in, but the flapper and magnet have there day, and its just a case of trying different set ups and see what works on the day
  24. went back to the hog farm today where i had 78 a few weeks ago, they were not so keen this time but packed up at 3.30pm with 50 on the clicker, and a nice steady trickle of birds thu the day
  25. nice shooting Steve and Mark, also a very scenic part of the world you guys live, hope you bag up on those stubble's later on mate
