  1. Here's a picture of mine. I’ve got four Oxford Sandy & Blacks, or Oxford Forest Pigs, which is a traditional breed with a reputation for being hardy, easy going and with less of a tendency than some to put on fat (but they all can do). They’re good foragers but haven’t shown any particular desire to test the fencing yet. I’m not sure that many traditional breeds are known for being prolific breeders, but that wasn’t a factor I was interested in. Currently 11 weeks old, I’ll keep these four gilts till the beginning of August when they’ll be just over 6 months old and should kill out at about 60kg each. This was them yesterday deciding that their drinking water was a better option for a wallow than the one I’d specially dug and watered. (Apologies to any serious pig farmers).

    Mirgaines

That's very similar to what I get and about the same frequency - feel odd, vision tunnels, can't understand what people are saying and my efforts to speak are apparently gibberish. To me the headache part (which doesn't always follow) feels like your brain is suspended on piano wires and when you turn your head there's a delay while your brain catches up, overshoots then stabilises - a distinctly unpleasant and nauseating feeling. First time it happened (early thirties) it appeared I was having a stroke but the mri's proved otherwise. Also convinced that stress is a major contributory factor and sleep in a darkened room the best cure. Be prepared to be washed out for a few days with the severe ones. On the bright side, and if you don't use it too often, it can also get you out of all sorts of things you don't want to do!
  3. That's unfair. There's a time and place and clearly this was neither.
  4. Didn't I read somewhere that at weekends (or maybe 'on' weekends, who can say), first class is open to all and sundry who think that feet on seats and panting dogs with dreadful halitosis is the norm?
  5. Same thing surely? Aren't all tories covert bnp/ukip? Or is that something everyone realises over the next 5 years.
  6. How many blow dryers and curling tongs do you think the aux will cope with now? (If you switch the sun lamps off at the front, that is).
  7. They say movies, I say cinomatagraph.

I'm afraid I agree. Life's far too short to waste it on bottom orifices even if they are family - there are plenty of undiscovered decent people out there.
  11. Love the idea of the game, but hate, hate hate the way it’s been exploited and sold to the ignorant masses for the benefit of business interests – your game has been stolen and most supporters are complicit. I’ve said it before but I watch football until somebody inexplicably falls over – so never wasted that much time on it. I count myself as one of the righteous ‘wrong shaped ballers’, however this last Six Nations saw some distinctly questionable ‘early going to ground’ from England and Wales which is worrying for the future. That’s not how we coach it, so where does Monye, Armitage, Byrne et al get these ideas from? Apparently, if you’ve been brought up on it and this is the norm, then it’s what you do.
  12. Well, it instantly adds two dimensions that are otherwise missing.
  13. I'll take the chainsaw, if stihl available.
  14. Are these the Balmoral Sovereign with the full length zip?
  15. I would have thought 'right to shoot' was the correct answer.
  16. Maybe. But perish the thought that truth should get in the way of your dogma.

    Tiramisu

I knew a bloke called Malc (no relevance) who devoted his life to perfecting the perfect Tiramisu. WIP.
  18. For a moment, I thought you'd missed your cue Libs.
  19. Check out the gun room. They're not a bad bunch of people, and never shy of showing you some very exotic home-made shotguns even though you have no real chance of buying them. Or maybe you do?
  20. And the rest of his East European fascist allies.
  21. If, the organisation I belong to is able in some way to extend its hand of support to those who, probably through no fault of their own, find themselves temporarily unable to finance their subscriptions to said organisation, then I, for one, am more than happy to see that hand extended. It's a bleak and skewed picture of society that some of you paint.
  22. Goodnight ME. I'm off.
