  1. heard this all before....to my pain...........very interested in the out come, as i couldnt compleat my mission on the air arms i had to give back..........the air arms was also a non-break barrell...

that is one of the reasons i have chosen the break barrell merc s.............................

    keep your thoughts coming..

  2. Seriously, these threads blow my mind, among the many things I'd change about myself would be to even have a gram of practical skills like this, I'm so far removed from doing anything simple DIY.

I've loved reading this, in awe.

Thread of the year, until you start another....

Oh and other one is to be a morning person.

If I were to start a topic like this documenting my training I'd get arrested having a pharmacology background.

Brilliant stuff, I've had to google most replies to make half sense, didn't even know how a turbo worked, do now.

im really pleased you've got something out of it..................i always feel very rewarded when someone replies and makes comment........

    thank you......... :good:

  3. when ever i think of him...i remember him with a live baby elephant in the studio ...on a lead.......then it wee's on the floor...he slips on it and drags him thro it................

    RIP boy...

(think he had dementia for many years....did well to last)

  4. i have tried all sorts of stuff including powdered graphite....powdered molybedenum......you name it ...sometimes i think it works sometimes im not so sure............

pellets come with a "preservertive" coating on them anyway......if you are going to try lube ...then wash your pellets first......

i think pellet choice is more the order of the day....as the sizes differ so much..

  5. Now finding myself reading all the posts in the air gun section . Never used to bother before because I didn't really have any interest in air guns . My biggest fear is that this new interest could turn out to be very expensive . One quick word for whitebridges , Nige it looks like you will be needing another gun cabinet .

    still must'nt grumble..

  6. only one and likely to stay that way, 6 year old Caity who has an opinion on everything and anything. Like most females she never shuts up and comes out with some of the funniest things, like

    (From school I think).

"The Romans saved us, they beat up Jesus but we don't want to beat anyone up"

She's clever and the little person knows it.

the number of times ive heard comments like that from mine...............very very funny........they are not stupid ..

  7. Not having used an airgun since I was a boy I really did get involved on my first day out . It brought back some good memory's of yesteryear . I have never thought that air gunning was below par for shooting live game ,but had always used rim fires for pest control and didn't really see the need for an airgun . Since I have given up my FAC I know realise that there is another perfectly good way to control pests by shooting with an airgun . Using a rimfire one have to be careful where one shoot for obvious reasons .I would never have shot inside a barn or grain store with a rim fire but I felt compleatly confident shooting inside with the airgun . I think the airgun will now live in the truck and I look foreward to having another go . The next thing on my target list is a woodie proberbly taken from one of the mature oaks on the farm .

  9. the shaft is then slid into the bearing / bush......it dosnt go all of the way in...as it now has to be gently moved about so the piston ring closes and slides into its seat.................

the cassett is then turned over and the other bush is dropped in ....then the oil gallery plate is positioned with the secondary bush /oiler spacer...and at the top of the bush is another piston ring /seal.............
