  1. im hearing more and more now ...that someones fridge burst into flames.........!!

do fridges burst into flames :hmm: ....suppose it depends what is in them :hmm:

all seems very strange to me..........

  2. i blow hot and cold on this question....

what i do think is or would be a deterrant....is an old style gulag....some god foresaken island off the scottish coast....concrete ..charmless buildings...armed guards....labour of some sort....make it a frightening and intimidating place....where the inmates would be ground down into submission or leave a broken person or in a box.............

people looking at that would prefer a hanging option.........

  3. are you and you colleagues being replaced by "others".................

just sounds like a similar story to my mate...he set up as a self employed boiler engineer.....took about 18mths to start making decent money...but he has never been busier......

  4. Someone needs to start taking in hand the media reporting at the London flat fire....they are way out of order...a fight has broken out as the media forced their way thro a crowd to film someones grief.............

some of the comments in the last 12hrs have been totally crass...........

it just seems that the media needs to take a good look at itself...not only on this disaster but all reporting in general...BBC & Sky are just as bad as each other.............they seen totally devoid of all morals....and education

heard recently on the BBC..."the fire broke out between 12 0'clock and midnight"....................."a young man got all of his family out mostly"....

  5. very nice mate from a cricket bat back to a air gun

damn right...it was skip fodder...really pleased how well it shoots...for something of that age..........the trouble is now...im moaning about the width of the reticual....and the clarity of the optics at 30m.. christ i can see how anal people become over their air weapons ....

  6. Great looking gun! Fair play!

But we really need to have a chat about your trigger....

why so ?.............the travel is too far and the trigger leg spring is adjusted too tight....and i will lessen the bite of the leg onto the sear..........thats all :hmm:

  7. Well the story goes like this...........

out to the area where i test...set up target at 12m...shot ...8" low..........windage spot on.........barrell and scope not paralell .....so i shim the tube of the scope.....shot...1" low...adjust a few clicks....on target....(target size of a 5 pence piece).....did 5 shots one ragged hole all on target....

moved target out to 28m...1st shot.(..Bull 10-15mm circle)....3/4" high !!....lowered crosshairs....5 shots into bull....bit ragged but all in the bull......im huffing and puffing with shock !...stop and calm down and have a fag............

got nothing else to aim at so i thought i would adjust the trigger and the shoot at the 3 drawing pins holding the paper target on the cardboard....dooohhh..........wrong allan key in the box.....

sooo.....i settled down and squinted at the first drawing pin on full mag.....shot.............drawing pin "el gono" ...shot at second pin...."el gono" :whistling: .....

surley i cant do the 3rd....shot..."the pin was history".............

a while ago i re-built that "lunker" of an AA .22 tap gun....the target at 30m is halfway between the backstop (hedge and bank) and the end of the muzzle...when i shot the AA...you heard it hit the cardboard then lazily hit the hazel bush....

this BSA is stupid accurate...and stupid fast....you fire and it is almost "tick".."tick"...thro target and into backstop.......

over the next few days i will work on the trigger...and get this running sweet as a nut...........and when i have time i will post up my results

what a great gun this is.....the report on it ...on "the skinned and gutted" website is spot on...take a look if you will

  8. £150 quid would buy you a new one half reasonable or a good 2nd hand...some of the early German air weapons 25-30 years old are still very good value and accurate...

someone will be along shortly to advise you............

  9. does the hinge pin need turning.........other area can be tightened up by peening.........

before he does anything take the barrels off.... hang on your finger...and then lightly tap the barrels with the wood part of the forestock....it should ring like a bell...if it dont the ribs are coming apart and that will cost....£££

  10. Reasonable if not tack driving accuracy is the beginning and end for me when it comes to air guns and I have had lots of good ones including HW80/90/100/35/95 (mine is superb untuned), Original 45 (outstanding), BSA Lightning (reasonable but you can't expect more from the package), BSF 55 and S54 under lever (both orrible but reasonably accurate), Whaley Crossman 761 XL Super (highly flawed but accurate), AA S510, FX Wildcat, and quite a few more besides.....................

If I had to pick bad ones it would have to be pretty much any pistol I've ever shot or owned, Original 35 .177 and my 70's cherished and beautiful BSA Airsporter .22 - the latter you can forgive because it was an old design and getting the tap lever right can't have been easy back then but the former puzzles me to this day.

i had a webley mk 3...which had tap problems...until i was shown how to set it up...i was gicen a rod the same width of the bore.....undid the tap plate and stuff with spring and ball etc...slid the rod down the barrell...and added/took away shims from the tap until the rod slid nice and easy in and out...

  11. take the shiny nuts&bolts off and the pipework..............mask the pick..........spray the body black....then laquer.....polish the pick and spray it with laquer then put the pipework back on and a sticker of your sons? company ...???

(look im trying to help you get your new diff)
