  1. gov website may have the answer ?? as they have suspended MOT testing for 6 month from end of march so if you get stopped and your test runs out after end of march you wont be done as long as you keep your car in good roadworthy condition

  2. with this lock down thing going on is anyone else trying to keep sane iv,e been busy putting a cleat wall into my shed but wanted a break so I dug out an old chisel [footprint make] that belonged to my dad who passed in 1989 so its got a bit of age to it .

it was in a terrible state ….. rusty the cutting edge was all chipped and the black and yellow paint was just about all gone from the handle . so after a few hours hand sanding then honing the edge back to life I sanded the handle bare got my oil finishing kit out and set about it

Try looking for a second hand Evolution table top, flip, saw

i have had one for about 3 years....brilliant for the money AND it will cut metal as well as long as you dont abuse it

all the tilers around here use them for metal Edge trims

ive been cutting 4x1 and 3x2 with mine today for hours

I bought a brand new one from B&Q before this one but no matter what adjustments I did to it followed included instructions and videos on YouTube but no matter what I could not get it to cut square & true (table saw never tried chop saw) so took it back & bought this one

  6. Yea £50 S/H on local gumtree add ..

It's nothing special its only a Macallister make

It's in fairly decent condition as the previous owner used it very little... maybe do with a new blade (or sharpening) but it's not going cost a fortune for that they do a pair on evilbay for £10 -£15

I've cut 18mm MDF and 15mm pine ok with it but I think it may need a new / different one for hardwood

  7. As I know sweet beggar all about 3D printing I have a question .

If I needed something copying how easy is it .

I ask as I have just bought a used flip over saw (before lockdown) and I have just noticed (silly me but it was only £50) there is a plastic cutting guide missing I have the right hand one but need a left hand one made as after hours of trawling the net I have come to the conclusion that they are not available ...

So anyone know how I could get one done

    its the blue plastic bit

Cheers m8 will do ....( she's in bed poorly having had 3 fits today )

I suppose at least this covid19 poop has let me get bits & bobs done in shed .....

  10. a couple of years ago I built myself a 17ft x 8ft shed built it by framing it up with cls timber on 16" centres then 18mm external ply on outside I then clad it in 6x2 finished and treated pine [ came from overseas packing crates for machinery ] inside insulated with celotex then lined with 9mm ply . its got power and lighting. and its alarmed

it did have old kitchen cupboards on the back wall but ive taken them down to put a cleat wall system

its coming along  NOW BEFORE ANYONE COMPLAIN THE TOOL HOLDERS ARE MADE FROM SCRAP CHIPBOARD AND MDF as I could not get to the diy stores for 18mm ply due to not being able to drive since November ….. once I can get I,ll redo them in 18mm ply
