i could have my arm twisted for a bit of that. carp fished for 30 odd years then after a 38.10 i stopped going after lake carp and started on the river for them. did ok but then house stopped me. i have a little runs water in Gloucester where carp can go every 10 mins and average 12lb so a right giggle if you work at it. tirley court farm. a new challenge is always good. big bream i would like to have a go at as well as a barbel or three. hehe Phil

Pigeon flapper instructions tips please
activeviii replied to Kikkan's topic in Pigeon Decoying Equipment
it wouldn't be from site sponsor would it? I bought one a little while ago and had to take a file to the wing wires as they looked like the back end of a pencil. i then found some air line from the fish tank and cut a couple 20mm bits. i brake the wing with pliers, as i was cut one time with a bone as i snapped them. slide the bird onto the middle spike, from vent to head then push the wings onto the spike at the top of the white wing bar and push the tube over the spike, this holds the wings in place. put the flapper on is stand and push into ground push head onto spike and brush feathers down. right or wrong it works for me. they help to freshen breath, help with smelly bums and poos and helps to settle upset stomach.

what bread of spaniel? my cocker is 8mths old a 12.5kgs, tall and thin. do they ever reach maturity.lol i hope not as mine cracks me up every single day teething mine was done within a week.hehe. gave him a parma ham bone. one day 7 teeth fell out and then next there was none left to fall out. then within 4 days he had little teeth that just got bigger. didnt give him it any more as was worried about salt and he just had squits with it. never every had a problem with chewing and only pee'ed twice whilst petting and that was on my mother-in-law so that don't count.lmao. I have tried the books and the videos, Edward Martins master class was the easiest for me as i could see what was needed, not that i got it right, else i wouldn't be going to see Rich (creccamarsh-gundogs) but the one way i get my cocker to sit is to get him to sit up and then i walk 10-15 foot in front of him. whilst facing him a reinforce the sit up with voice and hand signal and then throw dummy over my shoulder. if the dog brakes i can grab him as he tries to go past. but something else i have read is that not every retrieve is for the dog, you need to go and retrieve more than the dog or he will antisapate whats coming and then run it. this isonly what i have picked up along the way from books and dvds as in new to it all. he still runs in when at my side but not when im in front of him or put my hand on his chest. just need to get him back now.lmao. I can't get on with books and dvds as they dont show you what to do when your getting it wrong and they all say something differant and tend to contrdict each other. i have stopped doing anything other than the basic sit's, lead work, heals and recalls with teague until i have seen Rich and know where im going wrong.

your crate needs to have just enough room to turn around and sleep. dogs are very clean animals by nature and will not mess there home (bed) unless there's no other way. box up the crate so he cant use the other bit, but watch out for staples or packing tape. you need to lift water about 4 hours before you put him down for the night, do not leave him any in the crate. let him out and make sure he does his business before you come back in. encourage with a key word as in a very short time you can get them peeing on command. I used "toilet" for a pee and "be quick" for poo. you need to go down a few times in the night and let him out side, whether he wants to or not, he will once you get him outside and the cold air hits him.hehe in the morning you need to do the same. if your putting paper on one half and bedding on the other you are just teaching him that its ok to mess in his house. NTTF told me this when i first had my pup. my first pup as well. sticking to this i have had two poos in his crate, both time after his jabs. never had a pee in it. had a few on the carpet but it went from 4-5 a day to the odd one in about 2 weeks. I can take him in the garden or park and tell him toilet of be quick and job done. if im popping out i take him in the garden and tell him and straight away he does it. he is so good at it that one day my son siad to the dog " Teague want to go to toilet". he did, right there on the spot in the middle of the carpet. lesson learn very quick.hehe. there was a sticky at the top, well worth the read. stick with it and you'll find in no time that your clean. we go from 10pm to 7am every night and have since he was about 3 months old. before that i, or the wife, would go down about 5 times a night. hard work but clean very quick. hope that sort of helps Phil

I have an as new Deben Tracer Max 400 for sale Lamp Scope mount Gun mounting switch Red filter Yellow filter IR filter will be chucked in as well. i used this with a night vision monocle and it made it like day light. if you haven't tried IR filters on a big lamp with NV then your missing out. I couldn't believe the difference it made for spotting charlie half way up the hills. It came with just the cigar plug but i have changed it so you can plug onto battery spades or into cigar socket. New with the filters this cost me over £80 not to many weeks ago. used it for a few nights out but the walking with rifle, battery and lamp is not for me so gone back to my old lamp and truck. I would like in the region of £50 for it. Regards Phil

my cocker has had a wiping eye for a month or so, only clear, thought he caught it on a bush so had a good look but couldnt see anything. took to vet last night to fine it was an eye lash coming out over the wrong place and rubbing the eye. vet took him away for ten minutes and came back with pup and a tiny eyelash. £35 but no watery eye thismorning so worth it.
