  1. i think you have the wrong end of the stick there lmao we'll let you work it out, lol
  2. i know your sorted but if you cant get the nuts moving by standing on end of bar the go the other way with the jack under it. bit easy when thinking and not tired hehe.
  3. surprised me to Dave but im not worried as it will sit on the bench with the others. someone will have it, im sure. If its still here in a week or so then i will put it up else where.
  4. Thank you NJC for all you did yesterday. throwing it down with rain and yet we waited. NJC knocked a ginger one over on the pens so happy days and then on last knocking a fallow was spotted on the boundy. cheers NJC for dragging it back. it was a rather long way. the gralloch was a mess as the whole front end took the trauma. not liking the interlocks but will try again on a better placed shot. on a side note, i have never missed the shot on a deer. there will be a first time mind.
  5. bought a slab of hull superfast last year. didnt know the price but they charged me £50 and said that was the 1000 price. i found out after that last year they where £158 per K. once bitten, twice shy.
  6. Thanks chaps, very good of you all. billy, enjoy the scope and use the towel wisely. every where i look is something or other i have made or rebuilt for someone.lol.
  7. Yep, straight on it. i did have one on it but i put it and the lathe and changed the torch it was going on.
  8. i use a mora roe knife to split and then a pair of mole grips and my fist. I skin from neck down as i find it skins easier. for gralloch i use a stainless more and a cheap carbon steel knife for every thing else. diamond steel the blades then a pocket crock stick to finish.
  9. I use ppu in most of my rifles but i always neck to start, you can feel the difference in the neck tension and the mandrel pushes in. the 222 i have loaded 9 or 10 times with no issues. i do only neck size and then trim ever 3rd firing. other rifles i dont use that much so no idea how long the brass will last but as £20 per 100 i dont really care.
  10. if you want a hand looking then shout. I know what your like so i very much doubt there was an assembly error. also i doubt a bullet hit it and you miss everything anyway.
  11. Sorry to hear this. I will not use royalfail anymore. i use myhermes. cheaper and so far not has a problem. £4.20 for upto 2kg.
  12. I have been with SACS a long while now, Ian has always been helpful with a few issues i had in the past. last year i joined NOBS only to find for a few pound i could also joint SACS . it was a tenner less but same cover plus NOBS membership.
  13. not a problem stratts. its not a nm800 but its good or your foxing distances, for the money i think you will be happy. all the best Phil
  14. Mine lasted a week and I got a black thorn in the toe.
  15. oh right, so this thing im selling cost about the same as the red nm800 drop in.lol.
  16. nm800 = £150+ mine under £35 lol
  17. yes, no problem. it will pick eyes out a lot further. i did use it a few time and change the head to a crelant but i have butchered the crelant and machine it out so to fast screw on a t20. you can buy a crelant head from the bay and 9 time out of 10 it will screw straight on and throw the beam a stupid distance. all best Phil
  18. i didnt get time today as i have a visitor so messed the plan, if you wish to go down the farm range later in the week then shout as i need the run the new barrel in on the 6.5 and sort the 222 as i think i knocked it last night when i got in and fell on it.
  19. I knew nothing about home loading and use to use PPU. yes it was ok but i like to play so i was lucky to have a good mentor to help me on my way. turned out to be very simply if you follow basic rules. I started out with a 2nd hand Lee loader, lee scales and a hammer, i did use the scope to start with but i calibrated it on decent scale to the once i had a load that worked. i use to sit in the living room knocking out rounds. little slow but fun all the same. i took the plunge and upgraded to a press. the thing is, the groups are still the same. clover leaf @ 100meters in all fairness, the 222 is one of the most forgiving rounds there is, i have loaded for a few people now and all the loads have been spot on with 0.5gn over start load of the lee reloading book.
  20. Now stop fannying around and go load, bed the biatch in and use the darn thing. Im about to go bet the 6.5 in.lol.
  21. I dont really want to put them up just yet as they will only be left overs from ones from a batch i have made up for friends. I still have some parts stuck in customs so until they find them i cant complete.
  22. This is just a red led torch. Not the same ones as I do now. I'm just clearing the decks as have to many. I still have a batch of the others ones.
  23. Spare Red LED SmallSun Torch. I have to many. I have modified the driver to run a red LED add an asymmetric lens. it is going spare as I have to many torches and need rid of a few. has 5 setting on a top switch and on/off tailcap. Runs on 2x 18650. which can be purchased off the bay but don't scrimp on them, buy half decent. Used for fox with no problems as sensible ranges. £30 put £4.20 postage I have a few butterfly scope mounts, same as the nightmaster one. so if you need one add £9
