All on standing wheat at the moment, a lot as will. I noticed it a few years ago that the bird lay on top of the standing wheat with wings open. when you look at an area where they have been the heads are all stripped with the stem still standing.

use the advice above on shooting the banner. 10 dots in a line on a piece of wallpaper. start with left dot as 10 meters and put 3 shots at is. move to 20 meters and do the same. keep going will you get to the 100. you now have you drops for all distances you can, as you go along, mark on paper where your mill dot is by putting + on the group hole and marking where on the mildot. buy your self a flip up eye piece , like a butler creek. get some stick back paper and draw your mildots and the distance next to the corresponding mildot. stick paper to inside of flip up. now, every time you open you scope cover its a quick glance to know the mildot you need.

No, the rifle barrel is on a level plain with the rail in a downwards slope, the cross hair will intersect the line the bullet takes on two different points, because of this it is thought the bullet travels upwards. it doesn't. lol I can see where Neil is coming from though http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/a/a8/TargetShooting3.gif

Yes you can get a quantity of birds in the carp sack but, as i said, you throw the birds in so there on top of each other, their feathers are great insulators so the heat stays in the bird, when you stack then in the carp sack the heat builds up and the bird turn green. i lay all my birds out in singles so i can get the heat out of the carcass a quick as posable, then when home they go in the chiller until the heats all out then into the freezers if im not doing a game dealer run. one reason i will not eat wild game that others have shot, you never know how its been handled lol.

we have a nest in the willow that the cats and magpies keep raping. the one i can sort out, the others the dogs sort out. Ilike seeing the pigeons in the garden, they come and tidy the bird table up in the winter. nice to see around to tell the truth. doing no real harm. the black stuff how ever, they get it big time. half a dozen a week find there way to floor, on there backs. since i have been removing them we are getting song bids back to the tables.

brickies hessian. the roll of stuff the brickies use to stop the frost getting into fresh lay bricks. i cut 20 foot lengths, put birds on the first laid out piece and then a layer on top with water over it. the other lengths i use on harvest as a hide in the middle of the field. carp sacks are to small and if birds are thrown in they will hold the heat in. same with the freezer bags, to small. i take 5 builders trogs to carry birds off the field. you get 35 to a bucket.

have you loaded the magnet like you would out in field when it cut out. it could be the speed controller not able to handle the extra amp draw. try it without the speed control if it happens again then take the birds off the end. if it still happens replace the wiring.

My pinewood runs for a round 8 hours with a 7amp gel battery. i bought one of the above batteries for something else but thought i would give it a go on the pinewood rotary. 6.8amp. 2 hours. the 9 .8 would only give 3 hours i guess. i have a 22 lithium that will last weeks. i did read on the tinternet somewhere that a gent tested all this batteries and found they were no where need the stated amps. you get what you pay for i guess. the battery will run the flappers so not all lost

It is 450240 Extreme Spread (-ES-) Hi - Lo Subtract the slowest shot from the fastest. For example: 3010 - 2990 = 20 FPS Energy Calculation Average velocity X Average velocity X Weight of bullet in grains ÷ 450 240 = _____ft. lbs

No it does not rise. Its comes out like the water out of a straight hose pipe. The scope it pointing down so it gives the illusion that the bullet is rising. It will rise if your shooting up hill or your on a bipod low on the deck shooting up at the fox lol

Get lost lol. Your fault. -
quick set long nets of just over 50 meters each. on fiberglass rods with white end markers comes with one basket but they both fit in. don't ask what weight as i don't know, same as the standard purse net i guess. only used a hand full of times as a back net. Big of a bargain at £80 for them both. to heavy to post, collect from Gloucestershire area cheers Phil.

activeviii replied to JDog's topic in Bullets, Cartridges and Reloading
Give ian coleys a try JDog. quick SGC/FAC question. Gloucestershire
activeviii replied to activeviii's topic in General Shooting Matters
I did notice that parts about storing at an RFD. I will just sign over to a friend as its SGC. I want cotuminous but they will only do in RAC renewal so I'm only renewing SGC for 5 months the reapllying on FAC renewal. I will loose £40 but if the price goes up like they say it will I should save I'm the long run -
quick SGC/FAC question. Gloucestershire
activeviii replied to activeviii's topic in General Shooting Matters
I did think that but safe rather than sorry as it takes long enough as it is. mistakes add to delays.he he. Cheers for that Phil. -
off the glos firearms site. Cheques, to support the application, should be made out to Police and Crime Commisssioner for Gloucestershire to the value of £ 50 so who do i make a cheque payable to as it does not say who the PCC is. also noticed it says £50. im sure its only £40 for renewal unless im doing coterminous

With luck i would say re-cut and threaded, moderator replace and reimburse for the trigger sprig that the shop lost and then charged the customer for a new one. i forgot about that bit. shop handed the gun and trigger parts back to the customer and asked if he could put it back together, customer didn't know how to so shop started to put it back together, found that the trigger spring on the CZ was missing so charged the customer for a new one. it was in one piece when handed to the shop. I have no grudge or anything else i just say it as it is. if someone gives good service i will tell all, same goes for bad service, but i will not give the shops name as it is only right and lawful to give the shop time to put things right. what has peed the gun owner off more was that fact he had a 243 cut at sportsman, photo above, and it was a good cut and cheap plus closer but he thought he would give an other local business some money. fair play i say.

no no. its not mirror NJC. its no where near mirror. when the owner first told me about it and sent me photos i thought it dont look to bad. but now i have had a chance to get my hands on it with my engineer friend, Well! my engineer friend was a little bemused to say the least. the mod is a sirocco mod. should have a flat face. to this you would be able to snug up any size barrel. no need to do anything to the moderator other that making sure the threading was snug. the moderator had been put in a lathe leaving 3 jaw chuck marks on the mod tube. then is has had a recess cut into the back of the mod and the shoulders countersunk to 55degree. you can not clock an work piece into a lathe with a 3 jaw chuck. then to hide this a black marker pen had been taken to the fresh machining. On clocking the barrel in to the 4 jaw chuck at both ends, yes i can do it both ends on my lathe the thread is true to the barrel. the bore is off centre. the thread is on the cant though so when the moderator is screwed on it is on the pee. For what reason there is a step in the barrel i have no idea, i can only guess it was a mistake to start or the die that was used needed that clearance. there was no other reason to cut this, the moderator did not need this step cut. one thing that gives up that it was die cut is that the moderator is so loose that i for one would be afraid of shooting. it will only take a bit of heat change in the barrel to loosen the mod, not notice it and then the moderator would have a second hole in the end.
