  4. just been reading on a franchi site in the usa. looks like some of them did have weathercoat over a base wooden stock. would still be interested to find out for sure.. anyone got one they can take the butt pad off? only 1 i have with wood is this one fm a grifone
  5. hmmm, be interested to learn the outcome, only going by experience myself with my guns. dont forget to let me know if they are wood pse. if you go see one ask them to take the butt pad off so you can have a look.
  6. if you take the butt pad off you will see the tube for the stock bolt and the inside of the stock itself it will probably be filled with some sort of foam. at least thats what was inside my 712...and was in my 912 also. the only one with real wood i know of is the grifone. not that pretty, but it does the job well weather coat/syntwood stock on my old 3.5" mag 912.
  7. caledonian cartridge company makes a good shell, they make the ones for a big local shoot round here. they certainly kill pigeons
  8. just be aware guys they dont have wood stock and forend.....its called syntwood. it looks good but it is plastic/abs. good and strong and does not need looking after, but not wood.
  9. will digest most shells on the light setting. mine has no problem even with 24g steel!! takes mobil chokes to...nice and cheap!
  10. as promised here are the visitors. well just about everything seems interested in this hole..... pheasant! partridge....dont peck that its a t u r d.... also had a visit from a fox but the pic was bad....a huge amount of IR bounce nearly made him white out as he was only 4 foot fm the camera. various rats, and numerous other pheasants. but i reckon this is the owner...seems to be eyeing up my camera.
  11. Looking forward to this febs hare shoot. should be the usual 250+ bag.great social day and service to the farmer too.
  12. Checking the cam sat or sun so we will see who has been around.
  13. hi just bought one myself 54 plate. did a lot of reading on these and that sounds like the dmf (dual mass flywheel) fault i have read about. the year of the vehicle is about right too!. take a look on toyota owners club and search for dmf. pricey.....but look into single mass flywheels it may save you a load!! yes it will have a transfer box and rear diff but is all wheel drive with no selectable 4hi/4lo just perm awd/4wd. good luck
  14. got him, think it must have escaped from a zoo or been dumped!
  15. will send you a sample and you can tell us all
  16. clean every slab of shells or so or if the gun gets wet. then smear a thin layer of copper grease over the choke with your finger before refitting. that will stop them getting stuck if you forget to take them out for a bit.
  17. did wonder about that,it did not seem to make much sense. looks like it may be a rabbit hole with a helping of fox and badger t urds. will see what the camera throws up next week. lol frenchie..............if that comes out of the hole iam packing in shooting and moving to chernobyl.
  18. no sign of remains, it was one of the things i looked for. ***** about the same diameter as a 12g case. I see from the right hand edge of the first pic. that you had the hole covered, just in case 'it' emerged
  19. hi noticed 100+ on a rape field this pm.just outside lincoln. trees next to the rape field will be ideal for them to sit in. can see that field being hit hard. wonder who owns it!
