I totally agree! this is the second time recently when a supposed professional organisation has done something without thinking it through properly at least the cpsa have rectified the mistake quickly (or maybe the car sold quickly who knows? ) but I have to say they have acted quickly and done something about it unlike basc who have just carried on regardless to build their new air traffic control centre

I would say brilliant dogs cockers! I have 2 and I used to have running dogs many moons ago also they were a hanful as pups but most dogs are but as soon as they reached 18 months with the training they picked it up fast and love to be out there working

I have raised lion cubs cheetas and hyenas and yes they were well brought up but its in their nature to turn! having a pit bull cross isnt clever and just because it hasnt turned on your puppy doent mean you will never have any problems with it! there is no place in society for pit bull breeds for sure wasnt it about this time last year that a little girl got killed by one?

I have the single barrel version of the same gun and its a great bit of kit! if it is legal to sell out of proof then I would be happy to take the gun if you could throw me a figure getting the gun proofed isnt an issue

all depends on the horses some will bolt off into a fence at the sound of a silenced rifle and the same ones dont mind a shotgun noise! just speak to the owners of the horses and as long as the horses can see you usually they arent as spooky when you shoot I took a shot earlier in the year and luckily the landowner was stood next to me telling me to pott a rabbit at the time then after taking the shot the horse bolted squashing one of the stable cats which the vet bill was in excess of £1000 for both its back legs broken but luckily she saw the blame as her own and I was off the hook however she did scowl when I asked if she wanted me to finish the cat off! (how was I to know it would make a full recovery!) what im trying to say is shooting around horses is when you need to have a good insurance in place as they are totally unpredictable and tend to do stupid things

eric I have been shooting for many years even longer than yourself in fact and I am under no illusion as to what the basc offers You make the fatal mistake of saying that unless you join basc shooting will be ultimatly be banned as basc are the only organisation that can fight the shooters corner! For shooters that simply want insurace country cover card is fine and yes if you join the basc you get a lot of other additions as well as the insurance! the thing is basc dont do an insurance only policy so therefore you have to buy the whole package whether you want to or not so what I am simply trying to say is there is nothing wrong with the country cover card scheme and I found the comments by david basc one sided as he sees this as competition for the basc who have left themselves vunerable after their recent cock up

you forgot to mention that country cover card wont send you a begging letter for forty quid though! not to one sided this write up, eh david? the truth is its ultimatlely small companies like this springing up that will offer fair competition against the larger organisations £19.95 or £60 I know what I will be going with you are picking points with this policy but im sure if you put the cpsa insurance next to yours it will come out with as many plus points for a cheaper price! do you really want to go into the realms of comparing insurances? basc insurance is ok but nothing special in the grand scheme of things

as quite rightly pointed out by ferretman this subject seems to have gone a bit off track the real issue was the begging letter basc have always provided a good service but whether a basc supporte/member or not you have to agree the £40 begging letter was not only badly timed due to the current reccession but also a no brainer just blatantly asking for a fixed sum of cash! had I had a letter asking if I would distribute some raffle tickets or be prepared to raise some money through a fundraiser I wouldnt have batted an eyelid and would gladly accommodated the request and helped. I also agree that there have been some bad comments on here about the basc but what do people expect when they do something as daft as this letter?

try holding down F9 as it boots and get into the startup screen initially run in safe mode but I would be tempted to upgrade to vista its a lot less hassle and easier to install without any problems

I use a 9mm shotgun for the rats ideal for close range work without the fear of filling your face with hot lead and ive found a few handfuls of fishing groundbait keeps them in the area long enough to get the shots off dont fall into the trap of picking up the dead after every shot as rats will happily eat around their dead pals pick them up at the end
