Try going into app settings and turn off notifications from Google and any other apps you don't want bothering you that should do it well it did on my Samsung android

Thanks for the replies I still have not purchased any binoculars since I posted this as been using a cheap pair I had but I have blummin lost these yesterday and can't find them anywhere they were a cheap Chinese pair and were 30 x 40 mag What mag would you suggest I go with now I have to replace the ones I have lost I have seen some on flea bay for under 40 quid they are 40 x 60 mag from china so similar the my old pair Cheers

Sorry forgot to say I know the farmer who's rape fields they are and that is also part of my permission so was going to go there today but tomorrow it is now looking forward to it will report back when the day is over

Thanks everyone for the great replies the birds are indeed heading a few fields down and across the road onto some rape fields I watched them yesterday for a few hrs Went out today with all my gear Sat there for 2 hrs in the car waiting around and never saw a bird but it was a different day today no wind and drizzling most the day so gave up and came home Gear is still in the car so load gun Into the car tomorrow and see what it brings Cheers

i am still not sure what to do I may go for a variation and try a 17 hmr as not had one before and the extra distance would be a bonus on some of my land

One one permission I have seen hundreds of pigeons of late going in and out of a large wood. The fields surrounding it are planted with turnips and are about a foot high. I have not seen any birds going on the turnips but the shear ammount going over into the woods is outstanding My question is would it be worth trying to decoy over turnips as I have never tried this and don't know if I will be wasting my time even though I may get quite a few shots at passing birds but they will be fast and high What's your thoughts would you try this or not bother. I had one on order but got fed up of waiting earlier in the year so pulled the plug Then after asking on here lots of good reviews of the cz452 and I don't shoot loads so a cz452 for half the money and just as accurate sounds like a good alternative for my usage

I am after a cz 22lr I am going for this model after asking a while ago about which 22lr and this brand had lots of good reviews My question is which model to go for there seems to be lots of models was thinking of a 452 but again still a choice of models in the 452 range I would like 16 inch barrel with moderator not bothered about a scope so all help and advise appreciated as always Cheers

Another thing is at the weekend I popped around a few of my permissions and dropped off a 4 pack of beer at each one I know its not a lot but I had some texts back off the farmers saying it was great to meet me this year thanks for the xmas drink and that I am more than welcome to carry on shooting on their land well worth a fiver for each farm

This is something I put on another thread in March about getting permission since this post I have gained another 4 farms and now have more land and farms than I can cope with Went out today to try and get some new permission trouble is a lot of the farms around me are owned by the dutchy of Lancaster and are rented farms, anyway I knocked on about 15 doors today and got lots of sorry cant help you but I did get one new permission of around 250 acres with a few nice woodland areas in it and the farmer was a very nice chap and very pleasant (for a change) as I must say some can be quite rude to say the least and you need broad shoulders sometimes just to ask. I also have 3 other farmers that were very busy but but have asked me to ring them back or go see them next week so its looking up for me but what I did do is offer my help for free on the farm so the farmer could get to know me before I get any sort of permission granted to walk around there land with a firearm I also offered my services with free mot tests on some of there vehicle and tyres etc and servicing at cost to me which did twitch a few ears as luckily I have my own garage and mot station. I think its only fair you offer something in return for the farmer allowing you on his land anyway if all goes to plan I could have another 3-4 farms to go at by the end of next week which would total about 1500 acres and some lovely land in with it So a little advise to people who have no permission get out there be polite dress smartly no camo gear in sight offer to help out before you wish to shoot take the knock backs in good faith and always be polite when refused always leave your number just in case and always keep smiling. I doubt very much I could justify the huge joining and annual fees no matter what the rewards I thought the £450 I've paid for this card was high but I will soon recover that cost What would a centurion card get you if you had one

HI all Thanks for all the replies and sorry for taking so long to get back to you I have gone for the American Express Platinum card which seems to be the best one suited to me it does come with a £450 per year fee but this will be more than overcome in benefits, it gives me my wife and both kids unlimited lounge access to over 700 airport lounges world wide it gives me the wife and my kids full world wide travel insurance, plus various upgrades to different hotels etc etc etc I will be spending around 20k upwards per month on this card which gives me 2 free return flights to anywhere in Europe every month and from now till Christmas every transaction over 5k will get me double points so the fee soon gets swallowed up but I will be banking the points each month towards business class flights every so often for the wife and myself. Hi All Does anyone know how air miles work regards credit cards as I have no idea, what I was thinking of doing was getting a credit card that issues air miles on purchases. With having my own business I was hoping to pay some purchases say between 10k - 20k per month on the card then pay the card off via my company at the end of each month to avoid any interest charges. I am pretty sure this would not be allowed but could anyone confirm this for me as I don't seem to be able to find the answer via google so was hoping you lot know more than google does ?

I am looking for a set of binoculars I want these for keeping in my motor home for looking at everything from wild life to boats out at sea etc, the thing is I don't want to spend a fortune £50 ish second hand will do but not sure what to go for there are 1000's on ebay etc. Do I go for a cheaper new set or older 2nd hand, what mag do I go for sometimes I am looking at stuff way out at sea or on top of a mountain. There are cheap Chinese new ones out there but how clear will they be also what make of 2nd hand do I go for with decent clear optics the choices are endless. Would I be better of with a spotting type scope on a tripod as these seem more powerfull and cheaper ??????? Any help appreciated as always Cheers LB

I hope to go out all day possibly tuesday so will get there about 8am with plenty of food and drink and I will see what happens a full 12 hrs in the field is better than 9 hrs at work even if I dont get many ? Cheers LB

Hi All I have been out over some type of cover crop and I set up about 4pm as had jobs to do 1st gggrrrr Anyway the birds were a little thin and I managed about 10 before 6pm then it went really qiuet and I only managed 3 more birds in the next 2 hrs so packed up This crop has been hit hard by pigeons and its a new shoot for me passed on by another farm I shoot on so I want to try and get a few for this farmer What time of day do you find best to shoot pigeons as I need to try and get up there again this week would I be better getting up there early ?????
