  1. be brave, just find a small punch and knock it through one way, then when you're done just re-insert opposite way....job done
  2. HW35e, 80 or 77k. Any of those for my best springer ever
  3. HaHa yes, just spotted that, and the story of my life
  4. Eric Brooks appears to gone out of business along with some money he owes me, and has not responded to emails etc. These were good kits, but were pretty simple and my advice would be to obtain a similar kit from a UK supplier if you can.
  5. Thanks, can you advise which airlines have accepted this without problems? cheers Mark

    cz452

I'm not sure the CZ452 trigger is that adjustable, but the one on the 453 is adjustable. But both are mod-able The trigger spring is the easiest mod though, and I found my trigger spring to be far too heavy, so a quick swap and I have a beautifully light and predictable trigger pull. There's also a small ring you can place over to make the sear action smoother. As others have said, jump onto youtube for step by step instructions.
  7. Hi all, there is a good choice of quality air rifles for you to look at within your budget. I've had Weihrauch HW35e, HW80 and HW77 and they are all superb guns that will last a lifetime and you'll easily get a good one within your budget, just watch out for ones that have been messed with. I've also had Air Arms S200 and S400 single shots and both are lovely to handle and of course recoil-less. All are accurate and remember accuracy is largely down to the individual when using quality weapons like these. I would avoid Hatsan (know down here is Aussie as Shatsan because they just aren't that good, cheap yes, but no where near as good as the ones named above). Happy shopping mate. All you need to do is let us know what you end up getting on with. Mark
  8. it has to be which ever guns fits you best and whichever you are most comfortable with, and it sounds like the miroku for you. For me its always been the Beretta, but there was one I struggled to get comfortable with, all the rest have been perfect. Only you can decide, and as its the gun you (and only you) will be shooting, you shouldn't rely too heavily on others opinions.
  9. Here here, I grew up in Ardsley, just a km away, and remember when I was a kid snooping around the woods at the top of Ardsley where Karl used to have a clay pigeon range. I'd watch for ages til they'd done, then go and recover any unbroken clays and stash them, til one day i got talking to the big man and the rest is history. He talked to me about the shottie, showed me how it worked, even let me have a go, and I was hooked. I'd then go into Guns Inter every week, spending time raiding the bookcase library which they had in those days, reading the books, not buying them (but they didn't seem to mind) playing with Prince (the labrador) and chatting with old Pop. Now he was a smashing chap, a true gent, and I often think about him, but like all folk he eventually went to the range in the sky. I got my first air rifle aged 14, from Guns Inter, a Webley Victor, the small brother of the vulcan, the moved onto Weihrauch, a HW80, one of the best guns I have had. Pat and Karl always made me welcome with the friendliness that became their trademark. Then came the .22 rimfire Ruger Pistol until Dunblane and then onto Theoben and Air Arms, which were just a revolution. I moved to Australia in 2007 but still kept in touch with the shop. Pat and Karl if you read this, my best wishes to you both, I know you enjoyed your boating out at Donny and your steam power and hope you enjoy your retirement. You had the best gun shop on the planet. I'm still enjoying shooting now, with a mix of air rifles, rim fire, centrefire and shotguns, and even have my own skeet setup here on the farm, and its because these guys fostered my curiosity around guns and turned into the best hobby I have ever had.
  10. remember to avoid wd40 near blueing if this is an older gun, as it might affect it.
  11. CZ's are great and far better than any press they get. You can get parts easy enough, but it would be unlikely you'd need any. I improved the trigger sears on mine to refine the trigger sensitivity and its a super rifle. I went for the american straight style stock in preference to the hog back but its your choice. I'd have another tomorrow, just for the hell of it. I love these guns.
  12. Hello mate I have a tikke T3 laminate .223, best of my 7 guns. Personally I like wood, even laminate, buts its all personal choice
  13. I have Leopold rings and bases on my Tikka T3 Laminate .223 and am very happy, no scope creep at all.
  14. Hello All I have a very nice Thoeben Sirocco which I would estimate to be from the mid 1980's but wondered if anyone could assist with a more precise year of manufacture? The serial is TB1395 I'm pretty sure that Theoben used to have a database of serial numbers and years of manufacture but this seems to have vanished. I dare say that one of you will have it save to your hard disk somewhere? cheers Mark
  15. hello mate did you get your stock, i have a left hand so grade stockfor 20g which should fit your eell, slight left hand cast, beautiful figuring in stock. let me know, ta mark
  16. These are super guns and I can highly recommend a look at this, particularly at this price. I live in down under where Beretta's are very expensive and I bought one here for use on the farm and clay shooting. My experience of these are that the woodwork is generally higher quality than newer Beretta's (these generally made in early 70's but don't let that put you off) and the barrels (mine are blued not blacked) are great and chrome lined. A joy to shoot with, light weight and easy to point, without excessive recoil. A classic Beretta M

  22. Hi Bindi, My brother is interested in your gun cabinet and i'm interested in your 22. where abouts in south yorkshire do you live? any chance that my brother could come and have a look this afternoon as he is coming down to see me in cheshire tonight? If you have a contact number that i could call you on that would be great. Cheers, Ben No problem Ben, I'll be in most of this afternoon. My mobile is sent to you in a PM. I am in Ardsley, Barnsley which is the Doncaster side of Barnsley on the A635, close to both M1 and A1. 23. Go for gibby's Beretta 686, its just about the best gun you'll get for less than £800, and don't worry about multi-chokes, they are just there to confuse you and persuade you to fiddle and swap in between stands ( I see loads doing this and it doesn't make them shoot better than me with fixed chokes). For sporting clays ideal chokes would be 1/4 and 1/2, and if you geta multichoke, fit these in and leave em in. At £550 its an absolute bargain, providing there are no dings or pitting to metal work. The small marks to the woodwork are insignificant and will probably come out easy enough if you wanted to bother. anyone else agree?? bindi
