  7. The rust is mainly on the left side of the barrels near the muzzle end, basicly its from were I've proped it up against fences etc when I've been out with it. pretty sure it's not pitted the metal and would probably clean up with some elbow grease yep I was right a bit of elbow grease and the rust has gone
  8. If you want pictures pm me your email, I can't be ar55ed with flicker or what ever you call it as we are still on wind up internet and it takes way too long to register etc etc etc. and I've used the word "offers" in the advert, so make an offer, obviously I have a minimum price and you have a maximum price in mind but thats what you call haggleing it's all good fun, how lucky do you feel. ps everythings abit slow at the momment as I've got a stinking cold
  9. I think it was on top gear last week, were they tried to get insurance quotes pretending to be 17 year old students, the quotes ranged between 3000 and 8000 now 18 year olds are capable of driving HGV's safely. personally I wouldn't trust most of them on push bikes. 17 to 21 year old males have always had the worst driving records and always will. Like someone said earlier too much blood and hormones, at that age it's either at one end of the body or the other

    Local Slang

a bit off topic but it's about language I used to work on site with the ground workers who were Irish and shared digs in Chiswick and Hayes with them (great times) and the one comment that always made me smile was the greeting "is that yourself" there were plenty more but that one just sticks in my mind

    Energy Drinks

Hi there heres my tuppence worth, sports drinks are expensive sugary drinks, I do I lot of cycling or did a lot of cycling before I knackerd my back, the amount of hype and bs that does the rounds in the cycling or any sport enviroment is unbelievable, red bull your just overloading on caffine so yes it works, but so would two or three cups of strong coffee, with or without sugar, you can get isotonic this that and the other, When I did 100km ride all I'd take was 2litres of dilute orange juice diluted 60/40 and if you can stomach it quater of a teaspoon of salt heypresto one Isotonic sports drink. same with sports bars etc it's all hype you can buy eqivilant fruit bars for less than half the price you just need to know what your looking for. If you watched the tour de france you would have seen the riders taking cans of coke from the fans at the tops of the longer hill sections, why easy cans are sealed so can't be docterd and they contain caffine and sugar so that equals instant hit one of the big things to avoide is aspartime it's listed on the chemical warfare list but it also gets put into most fizzy drinks along with other food stuff, can do nasty things to your body cells etc hope this helps

    Broadband Providers

Right you lot should be greatful you can get broadband, I'm fed up with these people whinging and moaning that we can only get 2,3,4 or 5 Kbps think yourselves lucky, turn the clock back a few years and try running a business on dial up that keeps droping, I'm loosing out work wise and I got three teenage kids that give me grief all the Xloody time that we can't get BB, now in the last few weeks BT have put new heavier cable in from the village and 300m past our place, but we still can't get it, every time I contact BT they just don't want to know they just fob me off with bs I recon it's about time we had reduced or subsidised billing for the cxxp service we get, this digital age is a f'in joke I'm now looking at satellite bb but there isn't much infomation about it apart from the providers them selves who all recon it's brilliant. (but they would say that wouldn't they) we can't get broadband, DAB radio, terestrial tv or freeview and when in the house you can only tune the radio into two stations & one of them is welsh   oh and the weathers shxtty   the next person who tells me I'm lucky living were I do,, I'll thump 'em

    Poxy Weather

It would appear that the British summer is a thing of the past, we're just over 900' above sea level so we never have scorching hot day's, but the last 2 summers have been a complete wash out and now this year is going the same way, in fact this year we decided not to cut any hay or silage we will be buying it in. so hopefuly we've saved a bit of money as we won't go as mad with the old 20 10 10, I think we paid something like 400 quid a ton last year, the plastic wrap was more expensive as well, any way enoughof that........ what effect is it having on the wild life and our shooting
  18. alright mate, welcome from sunny Brecon

    Poxy Weather

Well, with the report on this mornings new's that the met office have changed their minds about the summer forcast, apparently we're not going to have that "BBQ" summer they promised, no suprise really, this would appear to be what summers are going to be like, It's been raining since Sunday with us and the only dry day last week was Saturday, there are a hell of a lot of people round here who still haven't done their first cut yet let alone second. Met office, easy money I wouldn't mind working for a company were you can get it sooo wrong and still get paid, So what's it doing in your part of the country, and the third Test starts tomorrow???
  20. Talking of dogs eating things, at the moment well since Sunday actualy the OH hasn't spoken to me as I was left in charge, with strict instructions not to let the dogs out, Zak, Jack and gucci 2 lurchers and a lab, well needless to say I let the dogs out and went indoors for a cuppa, like you do, how was I to know she'd let the new kittens out  anyway we're 2 kittens short now oh well onwards & upwards
  21. keep her very quite,, defo no ********, car rides, keep her well away from washing machines especialy on the spin cycle, don't let her get on the motor bike, no curry or loud sudden noises, or.................. just send her round her mum's :( ps it's a well known fact that sex induces child birth, well wouldn't you get pixxed off with something banging into your head
  22. Haven't been out for a while but me and my mate had another 8 tonight so thats now 10145
  23. Just waite till the costal access thing comes into play, that's going to cause aload of hassle to our wildfowling mates. Sometimes I feel like concreteing over our fields and turning them into a carpark, probably make more money
  24. Hi all I'm 46 and we did absolutley nothing on any of the wars in any great detail, I think the American Civil War was covered in one lesson, the war of Independance was tagged onto that some how??, the First and Second World Wars were very breifly gone over in two lessons, amazing realy when you consider how they shaped the world we now live in politacly etc, after all we had done, France didn't want us in the EEC but we wouldn't take no for an answer, GB only finished paying the USA our war debt from '39/'45 last year or was that the year before, Blair was still in power, and what about Bosnia etc that was all a hang over from the fist world war. We did learn a lot about US agriculture, which got right up my nose as I come from British farming stock and we din't touch that at all, These day's the way kids are taught you would think that the USA did everything, fight all the wars, grow all the food etc etc, they are not taught much about the UK's involvment in the wars or what was going on in NI in the '70's/'80's or even the Falklands, which the US didn't want us to get involved in.. ps it's not all bad I do have a soft spot for Harley's and Indians (the bikes that is) pps, Lee I can't get this Bl**dy Skype thing to work
  25. They could tell you to take it down and fine you. if the condition is still in place you may have to apply for planning permission, why don't you have a chat with your new nieghbour,
