  1. Sold her this season because of work commitments but hope to get back in to it some time in the future. All the best Coney Hunter
  2. I’ve read that if you block up all the holes of the warren except for one and put the ferret box outside with his smelly straw in it he might be curled up in it by the morning. Only a thought sorry to hear the sad news. Coney Hunter
  3. Most falconers use albino ferrets so the hawk doesn’t mix it up with a rabbit but it still happens. Coney Hunter
  4. Dry food lasts longer in their cage and my two don’t try to store dry food either. Every now and again I give them an egg with the occasional rabbit or quail. Yesterday they nearly had a robin who got itself in the cage while I had them out in the garden good job I noticed it before I put them back. Happy hunting
  5. Its supposed to be getting quite popular in posh restaurants but they wont call it squirrel instead they go for tree rabbit… sounds better to me too. :( P.S. Think I will try it out on the family first to be on the safe side.
  6. The squirrel’s diet of nuts compared to the rabbit’s diet of grass sounds far better to me but then again we do eat lamb and beef. P.S. Thanks for the link
  7. Learn something every day! Great picture old rooster.
  8. I know an American bloke who goes mad for squirrel but haven't plucked up the courage to try it myself. Has anyone on here tried squirrel and if so are their any recipes floating around. Happy Hunting Dave

  18. Cost about the same as a cat or so I’m told but I don’t know the actual price. I got my 2 from a rescue centre both sorted they cost me £20 each but it would have cost you more than £20 if you went to the vet yourself and had it done and another good thing about having your ferret snipped is that they don’t smell much after the operation which is a big bonus. Happy hunting Coney Hunter
